Remnants to what used to be a blacksmith shop.
A necessity for the mill and logging operations was the blacksmith’s shop. Every lumber company required a blacksmith shop for small repairs to the equipment used for logging and drawing logs. Major repairs were done at the mill blacksmith shop. The Jacobi Lumber Company had one at their lumberworks site. And inside the blacksmith shop would have been a metalworker who created objects out of iron using tools like hammers, chisels, and anvils. The blacksmith would have been in charge of the production and repair of all metal objects, not just for the company, but for the community as well.
We are at one of those odd in-between times when the remnants of previous exist at the same time as the buds and shoots of new ones.

This is part of what's left of a WWII torpedo testing site that we photographed on a beautiful Morning in Kyushu Japan. As Always credit to Rohan Reilly for his research and amazing planning.
I have chosen black and white for this image as for me I found it intensifies the feeling of calmness but also the bleakness of war. Why is the human race incapable of learning?
There was a huge stationary orographic formation directly overhead for most of the day. Just before sunset it began to rapidly dissipate, and this was the remnant that burst into color at sunset.

Sunrail P321 passes by the old codeline poles still standing near the north end of Taft yard.
I'm not exactly sure how old these codeline poles are, but i'm sure they probably saw the ACL, SCL, Seaboard System, CSX and are now seeing the FDOT/Sunrail era of the corridor. The poles add a nice touch of history to photos of trains in the area.

Thanks everyone for your support, you are all awesome 💓
In a motionless parade, past glory years are well represented as an old, unused barn, silo, windmill, hand pump and a Farmall echo days of vitality that now only adorn the walls of memories. There comes a time in many older people when warm memories of the past are more comforting than the sometimes bewildering changes of the present, both in technology and in attitudes.

Sections of the ruins at Castell-Dinas-Bran, a ruin that sits high above Llangollen in North Wales. A location that offers beauty or mood depending on the weather, but if i'm being realistic, both.
