From my point and shoot days.
Sharna was my dog previous to Shandi. She passed in September 2007 suddenly after being poisoned by a paralysis tick. She was severly abused prior to us owning her. She was a stray picked up and taken to the pound. she was supposed to be put to sleep but they brought her to the only no kill shelter in the area which I just happened to be working at. She was there for 4 months before I adopted her. I have never had a bond as special with a dog that I did with Sharna. She was only in my life for 2.5 years but she brought so much happiness. I am so glad that I got to teach her not all humans are cruel.
She went from being terrified of close contact (she bit me a few times), terrified to be inside (she ran through out screen door breaking it) and cowering at the sight of sticks. To being the most loving and friendly dog you could ever hope for.
Miss you girl, hope you're having fun at the rainbow bridge <3

It's been standing here while I decided to leave my job, stopped being friends with the girl I was walking with back then, went round the world and moved back to live within 30 miles of it. It seems remarkably unmoved by the changes.

Now, I say to you today my friends, even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream. I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: - 'We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.'
