Ceiling of the Golden Room (1452) - Benedetto Bembo (1423-1489) -Castle of Torrechiara
The Castello di Torrechiara (Emilia-Romagna) is one of the most beautiful examples of feudal, secular architecture from the fifteenth century in northern Italy. It was erected between 1448 and 1460 on the ruins of an earlier fort. The castle is most famous for the poetic love story that was played out here and is immortalized in the paintings in its Sala d'Oro (Golden Room).
The Golden Room is one of the few secular rooms dating from the transition from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance still preserved relatively intact. The subject matter of its paintings is based on an actual love affair, that of Pier Maria Rossi and Bianca Pellegrini.
The walls of the Golden Room are covered, up to a height of roughly 3 m to the springing of the vaulting ribs, with terracotta tiles. The pictorial program of the Golden Room is a monument to a love affair. The four encounters between Bianca Pellegrini and her lover depicted in the lunettes represent four different stages in their relationship.

Humber Bridge, Hull, Humberside, England
It seems that the Flickr and Lightroom relationship has settled down now and I am now able to upload photos again, hurray!!
Anyway, some of you may remember this photo from when I uploaded on my old account but I wanted to share it with you all again and for those who have not seen it before. Personally speaking it is one of my favourite photos that I have taken of 2015, those clouds are such full of character!
I am in the process of updating my website at the moment so that is also keeping me busy but I do plan to get out with the camera and get some new material. I am also thinking of starting up a YouTube channel at some point, that would be a first for me and think its just as important for photographers to be on the otherside of the camera sometimes. Video will be steep learning curve for me but its something I think I will enjoy.
Anyone else here have a YouTube channel?
Location Information
The Humber Bridge, near Kingston upon Hull, England, is a 2,220-metre (7,280 ft) single-span suspension bridge, which opened to traffic on 24 June 1981. It was the longest of its type in the world when opened, and is now the seventh-longest. It spans the Humber (the estuary formed by the rivers Trent and Ouse) between Barton-upon-Humber on the south bank and Hessle on the north bank, connecting the East Riding of Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire. When it opened in 1981 both sides of the bridge were in the non-metropolitan county of Humberside until its dissolution in 1996. The bridge itself can be seen for miles around and as far as Ottringham in the East Riding of Yorkshire.
As of 2006, the bridge carried an average of 120,000 vehicles per week. The toll was £3.00 each way for cars (higher for commercial vehicles), which made it the most expensive toll crossing in the United Kingdom. As of 1 April 2012, the toll was reduced to £1.50 each way after the UK government deferred £150 million from the bridge's current debt.

Relationship between two different generations. There are feelings of affection and love without expectations, acceptation and meaningful connection.

Canadians (and likely other winter residents as well) have a love hate relationship with the snow plow. It's great to have clear streets after a heavy snowfall but on the other hand, it's probably fair to say that everyone thinks the plow operator has a mean streak and takes particular delight with filling in the end of your driveway to make it impassible - especially when you've just cleared it all out.
It's nonsense, of course, but I'll bet it crossed your mind more then once when you're the one standing in the driveway and watching it happen.
Think positive! Think photo ops!

Our relationships with our siblings are the longest we have in life. Probably, not by coincidence, the story of Cain and Abel is at the beginning of the book of Genesis, showing us the complex, not to say, dangerous aspects of these relationships (when the parent prefers one child over the other).
The girl here is tweaking her brother's cheek 'from the depth of her heart', and as you can guess he was offended, hurt, and started crying as loud as he could.
p.s.
Above them, it is written in Hebrew: (I am a good person) "Defamation, is not talking to me"…
The photo was taken a day before the Jewish 'Day of Atonement' (YOM KIPPUR) in which people are supposed to ask forgiveness from other people they might offend…
The relationships between the species need to be further clarified
Hidden almost out of sight, just off the Huron Street bridge in downtown Stratford, Ontario lies the Shakespearean Gardens. This well manicured English garden offers a formal setting with boxwood hedges, stone walkways, benches and gazebo yet comes alive with the brilliant colour of an amazing array of flowers, herbs, shrubs and trees.
The views from the garden are just as impressive with the historic Perth County Courthouse to one side and the gently flowing Avon River on the other side. Stone steps and a pathway along the Avon River lead you underneath the old Huron Street bridge and towards the Shakespeare Festival.
Enjoying it alone great. Sharing the moment is bliss.

Our relationships with our siblings are the longest we have in life. Longer than with our parents. When talking about siblings' relationship we often think of rivalry, competition, maybe under the heavy influence of 'Kain and Abel'. But like any meaningful relationship, there are many layers and ingredients in these relationships, among others are care and tender.
In the large Ultra-Orthodox families older children get many responsibilities over their younger siblings. Here, the sisters brings her brother back from his TALMUD TORAH (school), and on the way, they investigate together the paddle. I find the way they lay their hands on each other, in great intimacy, heartwarming.
P.S.
Needless to say, that I prefer this photo ten times over my previous post of the VIP impressive patriarch.
