Wandering along the River Nene in Northampton and saw this reflection.

Any guesses what is doing the reflecting?

Reflecting over the past year

This was taken a couple of years ago on one of the many fine beaches in Pembrokeshire, Wales. I am still digging through those archives at the minute, as I have not had chance to get out. Fingers crossed for some better weather on Saturday as am hoping to get out then.

Have a nice evening!

Hurricane Fiona devastated much of the Canadian Maritime provinces, including my beloved summer home of the past thirty plus years, Prince Edward Island. Lots of property damage either by wind or storm surge. Still waiting to hear about my cottage and just hoping for the best. Fortunately so far, it sounds like no one was killed or severely injured, which is the best news in all of this. Unlike people, stuff can be replaced.

Langdales reflected - A spring morning dawns at Blea Tarn with the Langdales reflected in the perfectly still mirror surface of the tarn.

A scene that's irresistible to photograph; a view I never tire of.

The sun breaking through the rain clouds combined with a polarising filter really brought the colours out on the amazing rock strata at Sandymouth Beach.

You realize when you start reflecting that even though we don't want to live in the past, it is so much a part of who we are today.

The old sand and gravel pits at Clifton have flooded and now make for an attractive refuge for all manner of wild fowl and geese. Every now and then the River Severn gets a bit full and decides to take a wander across it's flood plain, taking in the gravel pit lakes and plenty of the surounding land as well. This was the scene about a year ago, with the little group of trees almost perfectly reflected in the flood, and in the far distance you can make out the snow capped Malvern Hills.

…The best has all but gone as winter takes it’s grip across the land - well in the Northern hemisphere that is! Still going through the many shots I took on our walks in Cumbria so sorry to be a bore.…..

In these three photos I'll be playing around with reflections. No deep word reflections today, simply reflected images. I hope you enjoy them.

Here we see the Low Head Lighthouse with its prominent red stripe reflected in the window of the foghorn shed.

I loved the reflection in the window, and also thought one could "reflect " on the words...

Taken whilst on a trip to Bergen Norway. I just love the differing shades and shape of the reflections.
