“Hey, Harry! Grab some Hot Chocolate,” I yelled. But like normal he just stood there staring into the pond. The frozen pond.
Every morning is the same and has been since we brought the burly Harry into our, err my, hut to live. I knew I needed to be careful bringing someone into my life, there are far too many sick, crazy, and destructive people wandering the wild now, but Harry is special. Since the Desolation I’d never met anyone as innocent has he is. He says we saved him, but he’s the only thing keeping me going now. He cares about anyone who takes care of him its amazing that he can still love, after all that he’s been through. He’s saved me many times, and he did everything he could to save Karin, but she’s gone now, too.
Ever since Karin’s abduction from Harry’s own hands he stands and stares at Ned for hours. Ned intrigues Harry and sometimes I wonder if he is closer to Ned than he is to me now. Perhaps it is because Harry feels ashamed that he lost his grip on Karin and he doesn’t want to face me… but I’ve forgiven him. We, he, did everything he could for her. It was her fault she got caught, and mine.
Maybe that’s why Harry is so attached to Ned. Ned isn’t going anywhere. Ned isn’t in danger and won’t leave Harry. Harry can’t disappoint Ned. Perhaps Harry is starting to realize that Ned is as cold as our hearts need to be to survive this dead winter that never ends. It’s a dangerous and horrible world we now live in, and cold - so, so cold.
But I think it’s something else. Harry probably sees in Ned what I see – A reflection of myself and what I’ve become.

Saw this wonderful bench alongside Lake Shore Drive on the south side. I couldn't have picked a better time to shoot it.
It is not real..but image of the reflection of a landscape in the pristine waters of 'kalindi' river in Thirunelli (Wyanad district, Kerala, India). Set in the idyllic backdrop of Brahmagiri Hills and 'Narinirangi Hills', this beautiful village is adorned with streams, forests and paddy fields. It is famaous for Thirunelli Temple of Vishnu, where people come to wash away their sins with a dip in the mountain spring 'Papanasini'.

Blue hour aka Twilight falls at Lake Marcia in High Point State Park. The reflections and light from the sky add a beautiful contrast to the foliage surrounding the Monument. I sat on the beach with my daughter as we watched the light fade west into Pennsylvania. Enjoy:-)

The photo was taken in September, so I guess it’ll look a wee bit different now.
It was a still day, so there were opportunities for this type of shot.
P1013241: Taken at Loch Ard, Aberfoyle, Scotland.
Seen at the Goulburn Pump House. Goulburn is a inland city over 2 hours south of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.
Another weather front advancing and its pretty cold on the beach. Apart from a few dog walkers and worm catchers, I have it to myself.
now you: reflection
a week with family will make you reflect on so many things. on who you are, how you fit in, the role you play in the lives of these people, in your children's lives, the roles you hope to play, the perceptions you have of others and the ones they have of you.
i shot this just before slipping into bed on vacation with my husband's family in an old rambling farmhouse with lots of mirrors, in the adirondacks. i reflected on these people that have come into my life, the way i interact with them or choose not to.
we were celebrating my in-laws 50th wedding anniversary, looking at old albums and slides. i feel like i reflected all week.... this week's theme was perfect.

I thought that the reflections of the taller plants in the Water Lily Garden were awesome. The water lilies themselves were spectacular too. So many colors and varieties. I could have spent an entire day just admiring water lilies.

Another option for today's CY prompt "reflection"...and totally fits Where I stand today....After a rain and wind storm, the birdbath is filled with pine needles, pine cones, branches and leaves. Today I scrubbed the slimy sides and bottom and refilled with new water. #whereistandtoday#ourwisproject
a few reflection shots, just rotated in dpp!!
thanks for all your views and taking the time to comment!!!! cheers!!!
Random puddle reflection shot in Amsterdam. Taken with my HTC Desire using the Camera360 Android app. No editing or magic tricks besides whatever that app did to the picture, no Photoshop :)
I've bitched and complained about this already a lot in the last 3 months, I am currently working 5 instead of my usual 4 days, and this is taking away all the time I usually reserve for shooting pictures and movies, so I have to improvise and take any chance I get to be able to create some photos on my way to the office, or the supermarket, or wherever it is I'm going. This is no fun, and the quality and quantity of my creative output is diminishing on a daily basis, something I don't appreciate and that I intend to reverse as soon as possible. Until then, these quick snap shots will have to do, I hope you're not too upset that you're having to look at these not-so-wicked reflections, lol :D
