They typically drain much of the water during the winter to make room for the spring run-off. At this time the water was low enough the see the tree stumps from before the dam was built.
I like how the stumps seem to float in front of the forest reflected behind them.
The cloud and it's reflection make this image. The sky was filled with big puffy clouds and all I had to do was get in position to capture them. This big one worked best when reflected.
Life presents many challenges...Which route to take? We just hope that our choice is wise..Have a lovely Sunday and new week my friends.

One of the reflecting pools at Chateau de Trevarez, in the Finisterre region of Brittany. A very beautiful house set in forest on the edge of an escarpment. Taken some 16 years ago with a Yashica FX-3 film camera that I used for about 20 years, usually with a 28mm Yashica lens attached , as here. I can't tell for sure, but as there's a strong sun there's probably a polarizer on the lens as well as a UV filter. That was the norm for me back then, and I have lightened the shadows quite a bit to get a more even exposure in this final picture.
30—Reflect
Yesterday and today I have thought about and written “my story” of my life experiences and how they’ve shaped who I am for a virtual sermon discussion group my husband and I are a part of. It has caused me to really pause and reflect about the people and events of my life, God, His involvement and the things I’ve learned and how I’ve grown. It’s been a good process and kind of scary to think of sharing this with others and also freeing knowing I don’t have to hide the real me and I can be authentic.

In 1992 the German Government decided to erect a national monument in memory of the murder of the European Sinti and Roma persecuted as “gypsies”. The memorial of the artist Dani Karavan consists of a large circular "pool" with a stone that can be lowered and on which a fresh flower is placed every day. In addition, panels provide information on exclusion and mass murder of this minority during the National Socialist reign of terror.

Candles in memory of loved ones all over the world ~
We paused today on All Saints' Day to remember our loved ones who have gone on ahead of us. This season brings the bittersweet of memories- days with Jamie and others, thoughts so fleeting they seem like dreams . . .
In our own personal remembrances, many MANY of your loved ones have been remembered along with ours.
Thank you all for contributing to my survival here. Life has been hard but this virtual community continues to bouy me up.
With love and thoughts for you all ~ Kim
