Sometimes it’s easy to get carried away with our so-called accomplishments. We spend our lifetimes collecting achievements, earning praise and recognition, and seeking approval – so much so that we lose sight of what is truly meaningful.
If being peaceful and loving are your primary goals, then why not redefine your most meaningful accomplishments as being those that support and measure qualities such as kindness and happiness?
Rather than being consumed exclusively with external accomplishments, try putting more emphasis on what’s really important. When you redefine what it means to achieve a meaningful accomplishment, it helps you to stay on your path.

I am capable of creating hundreds of such landscapes, which leads me to ponder the evolving significance of photographing landscapes. With the advent of AI-generated landscapes, the straightforwardness and novelty of capturing natural scenes through traditional photography begin to fade. In the past, photography was regarded as a means to preserve and immortalize the beauty of landscapes. It allowed us to capture a moment in time, freezing the essence of a place forever. However, as AI advances and creates astonishingly realistic landscapes, the need for photography as a mere replication of reality becomes less apparent. AI can generate an endless array of landscapes, each unique and crafted with meticulous detail. These digitally created scenes possess a remarkable realism that rivals traditional photography. They offer a seemingly infinite palette of possibilities, where one can explore fantastical realms, reimagine familiar landscapes, or even create entirely new environments. With AI-generated landscapes at our disposal, we are no longer confined to capturing what already exists. We can now delve into the realm of imagination and bring to life scenes that transcend the boundaries of reality. This shift challenges us to redefine the purpose of landscape photography. Instead of aiming to capture the objective reality of a place, photography can become a tool for personal expression and storytelling. It can be a means to convey emotions, evoke memories, or communicate a unique perspective on the world. Photographers can now focus on capturing the fleeting moments, the play of light and shadow, or the human elements that interact with the landscapes. Furthermore, photography can serve as a source of inspiration for AI algorithms. By capturing real landscapes through the lens, photographers can contribute to the training data that informs the creation of AI-generated landscapes. It becomes a symbiotic relationship between human creativity and technological advancement, where each influences and enhances the other. In this evolving landscape of artistic creation, the role of photography is transformed. The Restaurant at the end of the Universe - Douglas Adams
As I mentioned previously while commenting on some of my photos, my artistic approach is a dynamic process and it will likely last forever. I keep redefining my landscape photography vision simply because I constantly develop in the field and switch sources of inspiration. The same compositions, identical photographic styles, non-changing photographic gurus, screaming colours or static photo locations don’t satisfy my artistic desire. So I am in a constant photographic search. My way of landscape photography execution doesn’t involve going to places and shooting the first appealing composition. Instead I like to take risks and come up with new approaches. Before I start shooting, firstly I need to feel the place. And I mean in it in a holistic approach. Each of my photos is a combination of composition, technical skills and deeper connection with the photographed location. One doesn’t exist with the other. I would never go to the place just to take couple photos, but I frequently go to places and explore them even if I don’t shoot. This photo features Brandywine Falls in BC, near Whistler. Every time when I look at this waterfall I reassure myself that it looks more interesting from its very edge than from the bottom. It was a thrilling and adrenaline boosting experience to shoot there again. By the way, it is 70 metres of that plunge.

This handsome male Cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus), was seen scanning the vicinity late in the evening. He later stood up and rejoined the rest of the coalition.
Cheetahs normally sit in a vantage point to view the surrounding area for any prey which they are quick to chase down.
This lovely male Cheetah, one of the five from the famous Tano Bora coalition, was captured during a Photography Safari on a late evening game drive in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, Kenya.
Sometimes good things come out of it...sometimes nothing. It all depends which way you look at it...
The original photo was of a sea plane in Alaska. A small plane with pontoons is the way many travel to and from coastal towns and cities in the region. We must have been near the Canadian border, or at least its registration on the side of the plane makes me think that.

It’s a rough and rocky trail that leads to such a beautiful place… the hike up is a little steep to begin with through what seems more trough than trail. You have to hoist yourself over larger rocks through a tunnel of rhododendron for a good way, but then the trail opens up to a large rock shelf… and to this view of aptly named Rough Ridge and Grandfather Mountain beyond.
This is a very popular overlook along the Blue Ridge Parkway. You can find it at Milepost 302.8, in North Carolina. It’s an access for the Tanawha Trail that originates at Beacon Heights and ends at Price Lake. To me, it also provides one of the better views of the Linn Cove Viaduct, which can be seen in the distance on the left side of Grandfather. While all you may notice is a bridge, the viaduct is no less than an engineering marvel… its span connects two ends of the Blue Ridge Parkway with minimal impact on the mountain.
Autumn foliage is a huge draw here throughout North Carolina, and no less in this spot… like many others who find this the perfect place to set up a tripod, I know of ways to beat the crowd. One way is to be prepared for any kind of weather, such as you see here… rough, which seems fitting. This is also toward sunset… you can see light pouring through clouds in the distance, which was as good as sunset was going to be on this evening. Yet, I don’t really see how it could have been better, as this light made the colors pop... in this place, rough is no doubt redefined.

It symbolises my feeling regarding recovery. The hands and the poses symbolises how society and people sometimes put a pressure on us to be ‘okay’. To have that ‘i am fine’ facade. The motion in the water symbolises struggle and emotions.
The water/waves representing elements of calm, chaos, unknown depth, drowning, unpredictability, strength.
All this while having the character sat in a pose which is a bit more confident than the original ‘Sextuple Theory’, and symbolising the need to breathe and keeping calm.
I was already planning to go to London on the 18th when I saw the advert for the Paradox Museum in Knightsbridge which was opening on the 17th. Change of plan, got tickets for the museum and went to check it out. The adverts invite you to 'step into a world where nothing makes sense yet everything feels real'. It completely met the brief and was great for fun photography.
With the school holidays starting this week I guess taking photos will be a bit more challenging.

Although this is not an actual legal tender coin, it is intrinsic to the use of coinage in England in the late 1700s. The image shows the obverse and reverse of a guinea coinweight from the reign of George III. New legislation came in in 1775 to redefine the weight of a (gold) guinea and these coinweights were used to check coins which were offered in payment. The figures on the reverse show that this weight was 5 pennyweight and 8 grains (24 grains = 1 pennyweight = 0.055 ounces = 1.56 grams) and the peculiar-looking mark stamped between the 5 and the 8 is an (inverted I think) coffee pot, the mark of the Founders Company in London indicating that the coinweight has been checked and certified correct. The weight is 20 mm (3/4") in diameter.
