I was walking by the Willamette River today when I saw this heron fly down by the marina. I followed it down and got to see it maneuvering this fish until it was able to swallow it. This was one of the interim steps.

I have to admit that staying away from photography (for different non-reasons invented by me ...) for almost a year was not a good idea at all. Felt like I was discovering the camera for the first time. All the processes took me forever: taking out the camera, figure it out which lens is better to use in different situations, making all the adjustments ... wow ... :). And the results are terrific :(... Well, I have to prepare better for my next trip and hopefully I will have some decent photos.

I think she may have forgotten something. The table, perhaps? On the other hand, it's probably superfluous to requirements if she prefers sitting on the floor anyway.

Oh dear, it seems being stuck indoors because of today's heavy rain has affected me. I promise I'll try to get some fresh air tomorrow. :)

There are only 2 benches in the photo but there were 4 so I'm thinking this is another rest area along the new boardwalk. I had to laugh watching 4 guys trying to find the best positions for the benches. A bit like arranging the lounge although I had to ask myself would I let four guys organise the lounge.

After rearranging their power and waiting for two trains to clear, CSX W084 shoves into the siding at La Grange. The UP 7517 had to be put into the third position due to a non-functional horn, resulting in UP 7031, an AC6000 carbody C44ACM, being put in the lead.
