I used 4 Wombo creations to bring this together. The top half and bottom half are 2 different images. The car and the tree beside it were 2 separate images. All was blended using Pixelmator Pro.

DSC2149 Perhaps a bit more realistic than the last one! It's always horses for courses with editing. Does anyone else drive themselves mad doing numerous different edits of the one image?....and even then I go back and think it's still not quite right! Crop this way or that, more or less saturation, white balance, levels, curves, clarity or not, tones etc,etc....and the lighting...I always have trouble with that. I used to have a relatively dark room to edit in and my images always came out too dark. Now my room is very bright ( which I like and don't want to shut blinds to edit) and now sometimes are too bright even though I check histogram. However, I do feel that the brightness demonstrates the conditions in Australia.....not always the best for photography! It is pretty bright most of the time. I particuarly noticed this when I returned many years ago from a stay in Singapore for a few weeks. I couldn't believe how bright everything was when I returned. Sunglasses are a must! Bla,bla,bla. What a lot of drivel! Haha!

Ten days ago I drove into the Rocky Mountains from Boulder Colorado. I ended up for dinner in a sleepy mining town called Nederland. Most places were already closed, so I settled for bar called Pioneer Inn.
About the title: "Honkey Tonk Blues" is a country and western song written and performed by Hank Williams. The original 1952 recording was a major hit.
I processed a balanced and a paintery HDR photo from two RAW exposures, then blended the two to get this paintery and still realistic look of the bar.

The Entrance to Valley of Fire. A composite of images turning day into night. This photo is not a realistic shot, but more a creation of how I envisioned the entrance at night. I used 2 shots one long exposure for the night sky and one for the foreground. Thanks for viewing.

Perhaps one of Germanys most famous statues stands on guard at the convergence of the mighty Mosel and Rhein rivers the Deutsches Eck (German Corner).
The Statue is a typical Prussian martial style equestrian statue of William I, the first German Emperor it was created in 1897 in gratitude after his death for being the Father of the modern Empire and the unification of Germany.
During WWII it was mistakenly destroyed by artillery when they mistook it for enemy troops and it remained just a plinth until 2 September 1993 when sculptor Raymond Kittl finished producing an improved replica created from bronze plates this time around instead of copper.
I took this with my D750 and Tamron SP 24-70mm 2.8 G2 Lens processed in LR, PS luminosity masks and DXO Nik
Disclaimer: Not trying to be realistic in my editing there is enough realism in the world, my style is a mix of painterly and romanticism as well as a work in progress.

On Sunday we had a nice barbecue organized by the Peninsula Swiss Club, a local Swiss club in the Silicon Valley, California.
I processed a balanced and a realistic HDR photo from 1 RAW exposure, blended them selectively, and carefully adjusted the color balance and curves. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.

The girls on the start of their journey to find the Easter bunny. Bonnie stands on a rock to get a better view while Natasha is happy to pose for the camera, while poor Gia looks like she is going to be blown away and is sheltering herself behind the big rock. Lets hope the girls gets the Easter eggs they are expecting to find especially Bonnie, who insisted on bringing the biggest bag she could carry. Natasha was more realistic with her fur bag that matched her dress. Gia was happy to bring the pretty Easter basket. Happy Good Friday flickr friends...

The artist Christoph Pöggeler placed his realistic sculptures on advertising columns. The couple II, the kiss.
Lake Tahoe on the California/Nevada state line is a beautiful place. It’s also crazy popular with much of its 71 miles of shoreline either private or quite crowded in the warmer months. Therefore, I felt quite blessed to find this little spot just below a vista point on Nevada State Route 28 and have it to myself for the better part of an hour on a beautiful May evening. This image isn’t completely photo realistic as I used a quite long shutter opening of over 2 minutes to flatten the water surface that was actually fairly ripply. The result is an image that conveys the tranquil feeling I had as I stood them amid such beauty.

With an American president who plays hardball with long-time allies and footsie with our adversaries, I'm reminded of the Angel Thunder exercises that brought together rescue personnel from all around the world to learn personnel recovery techniques from one another and train in unscripted, realistic events. In this photo a British Royal Marine helps US Air Force PJs load a role-player 'casualty' into an H215 operated by Air Center Helicopters while a Peruvian Air Force Bell 212 orbits the area.
Shot for some photo work I did for Air Center back in 2017 when they were bidding on a contract to provide CASEVAC for SOCOM in North Africa.
