The headquarters building of the Munich Re reinsurance company. The building is from 1913 and is a mix of Art Nouveau and Neoclassical style.
A reinsurance company insures primary insurers against their risk. The full name of this company is Münchener Rückversicherungs-Gesellschaft Aktiengesellschaft, short also Münchener Rück. Since 2009 they re-branded as Munich Re . The company was founded in 1880, it became famous as the only insurer affected by the 1906 San Francisco earthquake that did not face insolvency.

The too hot summer is reduced in two months, too hot for two months.
On balance the Fall wins, became the longest season of the year and over the years I do not mind at all....

Re-blooming.......I just found this last weekend near me. Yes, there are some breeds which are re-bloomed in a year.
An Anhinga in its glorious mating colors - who could resist!!
During mating season, the male anhinga develops extra crest feathers on the head, and the flesh around the eyes may turn a bright emerald green. Males begin courtship with lots of high flying, soaring through the area, and then marking out a possible nest spot. Then he turns on the fancy moves, flapping his wings alternately and bending his head low, extending the tail to the sky. Once the female accepts, the male brings her nesting material and she builds a platform, usually in a bush or tree low over the water. They incubate the eggs together for nearly a month.

En su disco "The Razors Edge" los australianos nos dejaron esta perla. Se trata de una carta a Papá Noel donde la banda pide un regalo muy especial para pasar las vacaciones navideñas. Es bastante políticamente incorrecto, pero a nuestros queridos AC/DC les permitimos todo.

Uno de los villancicos que The Killers recopilaron en su disco "Don’t Waste Your Wishes". Un tema diferente, navideño, pero con otro estilo mucho menos convencional.
Twisted Sister – “Oh Come All Ye Faithful”
Una versión muy particular y guitarrera de este conocido villancico que en España conocemos como "Adeste Fideles"; Al menos yo no echo de menos las voces de los niños. Sólo la intro ya merece la pena.
Mosaver, las navidades también son momentos tristes y por si no lo teníais claro, aquí dejo este villancico de Coldplay sobre desamores y ausencias.

Another image of this shard of slate. The slate had washed further up the beach and so it was time to start again.
