Metro-Cammell class 101 dmu E53171 and E51222 forms part of the RCTS railtour "Mancunian Railtour", as we wait 40 minutes for a late running Hudderfield service at Penistone.
The line to the left is the abandoned Woodhead line to Hadfield which had closed just over 5 years previously

Stanier 8F 2-8-0 No.48197 at Nottingham Victoria preparing to work on the RCTS Great Central Railtour on 13th August 1966.The 8F worked the follwing part of the tour,Nottingham Victoria - Kirkby South Jn - Kirkby in Ashfield Central - Mansfield Central - Clipstone West Jn - Clipstone North Jn - Warsop - Warsop Jn - Shirebrook North - Cresswell - Clown South - Spinkhill - Upperthorpe and Killamarsh - Killamarsh Jn - Waleswood - Shireoaks.The 8F was withdrawn in April 1968 and scrapped in June that year.The Tour started at Waterloo and finished at Marylebone.Other locos used were 34002,61131,E26053.

RCT 3, a beautifully preserved Leyland Titan PD3 of The Delaine, Bourne. Owned by the company from new and subseqently preserved, it now forms part of the Delaine heritage collection. It is seen here turning into Stamford Bus Station whilst being driven by the managing director, Anthony Delaine-Smith.
