Just a Rapide, which are everywhere in Paris. But I liked the shot.

An old image but I wanted to try converting to monotone. It was taken soon after a wing fire had been put out. The pilot was walking back to check on damage I suppose. I was on the plane with my daughter waiting to take off when the wing caught fire so after evacuating, it was a great photo opportunity!
Fundación Infante de Orleans, De Havilland DH-89A Dragon Rapide, cn 6337, registered EC-MQS, wearing Iberia full c/s as EC-AAY that flew with Iberia in Africa (Spanish Guinea) till 1946 when was lost in an acccident.

===========================================
In the UK, the H39 Dragon Rapide is simply a beautiful classic wings transport plane, but in Spain and Catalonia it has (sadly, because it's a beautiful plane) a darker memory. The future dictator Franco used this plane to secretly move from Canary Islands to Spanish Morocco, were he comanded the most powerful army against the Republic.
There's even a movie about that trip, precisely titled "Dragon Rapide".
