between the mist and my lens fogging I was wiping the lens during the 10 second timer delay for 8 seconds and then getting out of the way. :-)

Na lange tijd van voorbereiding kon vandaag het oude Benelux-motorstel 220.902 naar Nederland worden overgebracht. De Stichting Hondekop had dit stel enkele jaren geleden reeds overgekocht van de NMBS, maar het duurde heel lang vooraleer DVIS toelating gaf. Vandaag werd onder grote belangstelling het motorstel overgebracht van Leuven naar Roosendaal.
Hier op de foto staat de Captrain 6603 die met een rongenwagen het motorstel de loods uit trekt. Na nog een aantal rangeringen kon het stel ook tegen de andere wagen worden gezet en stond het transport klaar voor vertrek.
In 2022 The Lake Ranger Station will be the 100 years old. Constructed in 1922-23, this ranger station lies in Lake village in Yellowstone Park Wyoming. Built in the rustic “parkitecture” style the Ranger Station is still in operation though on this day it was closed due to COVID.

I explored the upper reaches of Oak Creek Wildlife Area and ended up in the Naches Ranger District, USFS on FS325 Road overlooking Rattlesnake Creek, the Bumping River and Mount Rainier. This butterfly was photographed at nearby Bear Lake (FS235 Road), Yakima County.. There were wildflowers and butterflies everywhere along the higher elevation reaches of this area in Yakima County, Washington. I was happy to see vegetation growing on the burned soil where the Schneider Springs fire reached the top of the ridge last summer. IMG_8720

Rangers are a common site in the Mara, especially when there's a big cat in the area! So that's always a great sign for travellers roaming the vast expanses of the Mara!

I had just taken the clothes out of the dryer and Ranger plopped right down on top of them. He looked so comfy and guilty I just had to throw a shirt on his head and snap a shot!
Love the orange accent of the Ford Ranger in the mid ground crossing the Ashness Bridge in the Lake District... Snow topped mountains in the distance can just be made out.
