So how about........
I bee cropped to the extreme..
I bee outgoing not incoming....
I bee fed up with the weather......
I bee on here instead of doing what I'm meant to be doing :)
Took my macro lens for a walk down to the dock in Creg's Quay, where I found this screw sticking out of an abandoned lifeguard highchair.
Post processing involved adjustments with Lightroom and some fiddling with adjustment layers in Photoshop.

Sad part... can't tell in this one its an empty backyard umbrella... or that its a beautiful day...
It was supposed to be ironic... and in fact in B*W it is full of irony because you can't see any of that.... Weird

YOU TELL ME
Twenty-something years ago when I moved to this town it was relatively small. I'd lay in bed at night and listen to the coyotes yapping as I drifted off to sleep. There was a farm down the road where the roosters would crow and wake me up in the morning, often well before sunrise. We lived on the outskirts of town back then.
Today we're still in the same little house but the field behind us where they used to grow corn is now one huge apartment complex as of earlier this year. The roosters are all gone, they've been replaced by people living in condos where the roosters used to poop. And their crowing has been replaced by the sounds of highway traffic which also starts well before sunrise. The coyotes have moved on or have been eliminated, most people around here think that's a good thing.
I disagree, of course.
Looking down on what is now a city the other night as I chased meteors in the sky I was reminded of what the town used to be and wondered where it will stop. These dark hillsides are harder to build on than the fields in the valley but once those are all gone the hillsides will be next, I suppose.
As you might have guess I'm not too happy about 'progress'. But, for now at least, I still have the mountains where I can get away from it all.

Get in front of it"
My edition of the self portrait by, puxle for 1pic 2souls
Recently, I had the chance to tour the rural outlands of Northern Illinois. Jackie decided to spend the 4th of July with college chums up in Wisconsin. I drove her as far as Harvard, Illinois (up near the border). And by the way? That is way out in the middle of absolutely Nowhere!
Since I didn't have anyone to 'play' with, I brought Plankton along! We found some fences, saw epic trees, vast fields of rolled up hay bales ... and at one point, as we were driving along, we were both like: WTF!! We saw the most bizarre farming implement I've ever seen! I have no idea what this sinister contraption is used for. If anyone out there is well versed in farmland machinery, by all means chime in and enlighten us!!!
The "machine" I speak of is viewable in the comments. In the second image, you can see the barn where Plankton took cover, shaking his fists!
