The Inukshuk is a stone human likeness that is used in the Arctic to indicate direction. It's interesting to me that I came across this one, because it was pointing in the direction of Edmonton.

This was taken at Athabasca Falls in Jasper National Park. This by far is my favorite place in the entire park. The sound of the falls soothes me but here; where the raging falls meets the Athabasca River is my favorite place. It reminds me how no matter how much my wold or the world around me is raging, there will always be a calm place for me.

Taken for the Macro Mondays theme Foil. The jagged saw-tooth edges are where the foil was torn off from the dispenser.

The title was influenced by the terrible fires that are raging across Greece and Turkey at the moment here in Europe. Who says climate change isn't a thing!

We watched the Temperance River flow out into Lake Superior for a while. The lake was so calm compared to the raging river. Quite the drastic change!

Ricketts Glen State Park, PA. We managed to visit after 2 tropical storms had dumped tons of rain in the area. What would normally by a small trickle was a raging torrent filling all the channels of the many falls.
