I use mine to record sermon outlines, random thoughts, quirky sayings, and quotable quotes.

"There's no wifi up here?"

"It says Verizon wireless. What does that mean? Halp me!"

Hmm...what was the event of the day? Was it strange jumping bums? Nope. Was it the weird waitress at Johnny's? Nope. The blue-haired prostitute? Maybe! How about the flamboyant man who changed from his all black suit to the tan one, gave a fashion show, and then scaled the wall at American Home Signatures to get the price off of this cool picture? Yes! To make the experience richer, he added this quotable: "I am your own private Spiderman!"

Samual Johnson was a fascinating man who left a trail of greatness. From writing the first English dictionary, to a legacy of quotable sound bites.

Of course, without the genius of Boswell, Johnson would be far less fascinating of a character.

"Normal people...believe that if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Engineers believe that if it ain't brok, it doesn't have enough features yet."

— Scott Adams

Following today's prompt "sort of"... I have not really scrapped using only stickers as embellishments. I think I have always had something else and I rarely use stickers now as it is.

My daughter was so excited to get a new srapbook kit for a late Christmas present and wanted me to do a page using her supplies. I was only too happy to oblige.

"You know what the funniest thing about Europe is?" recalls Vincent Vega in one of Pulp Fiction's most quotable scenes, "It's the little differences." One of which is mayonnaise, rather than ketchup, on "French fries." It's probably a good thing that Vega only ogled the Dutch as they "drowned" their fries in mayo; he may have been met with disapproval had he tried to order French fries in Holland. Here, they're called "patat." Traditionally served with a generous topping of mayonnaise, you can also add other condiments. I had my patat with mayo and peanut sauce: yum. Some other must-try Dutch culinary specialties are salted herring topped with diced raw onions (I had an issue with the texture) and the infamous, irresistible, highly-addictive stroopwafel: two thin (and dense!) waffles with a gooey layer of caramel sauce sandwiched between. They are sold in grocery stores by the pack, and can also be purchased warm off the griddle from street stands. Woah.

Some more quotable quotes

Scotland's most quotable literary genius lies somewhere in the graveyard at Greyfriars. I'd far rather pay homage to him than to that bloody dog. He was the Ed Wood of his day.

So, I keep this collection of quotable quotes which are better heard or read without context. Here's the latest.

"Love recognizes no barriers. It jumps hurdles, leaps fences, penetrates walls to arrive at its destination full of hope."

— Maya Angelou
