For meteorologists, the fall began on 1 September.
September 23 began the astronomical fall.
The fall officially starts on September 21.

we went zigzagging along the coasts of Iceland for fifteen amazing days, sometimes venturing deep into the country, sometimes staying close to its coastline, but no matter what, this was the best roadtrip of my life :)
Our time is simply wonderful, we are emanzipated women who may do with our bodies and faces whatever we fancy, we may enjoy virtual reality, let Artificial Intelligence do the no fun bits, get the face we always wanted, do outrageous things as usually only blokes would do and feel ever so overachieving, right .... RIGHT??! or ...
Pretty self explanatory capture of mine of a guy who jumped in front of my tripod while standing on a cliff at Dyrholaey in South Iceland. Neither did he take in the amazing sight of a storm unfolding over the North Atlantic or the sea stacks all around us nor did he notice that he ruined my image. Fortunately it took him only 20 secs to get about 5 selfies and then he was gone and peace was restored :p I guess I have given up hope that mankind might stop indulging in these stupid trends made possible by greedy technology developers who care a f*** about people and their development and are rather fine with taking money for things that make us worse ...

When I was 12 years old I had to choose between Latin and Domestic Science. It's such an odd pairing, but I didn't have a moment's doubt. I opted for Latin and studied it for 6 years. I still hate being anywhere near a kitchen. :)
This button is a bit of a mystery and may well not be as old as it looks. It's stamped brass and was possibly produced as a souvenir for the film 'Quo Vadis', which came out in 1951. The book it was based on was published in 1896.

Quo vadis? is a Latin phrase meaning "Where are you going?"
I think that the answer is obvious when you look at the boat's surroundings.

Catalonia, Quo vadis?
The eight members of the Government of Catalonia who now enter prison do not enter for committing any crime.
They are imprisoned for voting by the citizens of Catalonia and they have fulfilled the electoral program that they had presented to the elections on September 27, 2015. We have thus jailed our votes and our will.
This is, therefore, a time when the country has to react in defense of the institutions, in defense of the Generalitat, in defense of the Republic, in defense of the President of Catalonia and in defense of each and every one of the members of the government .
Now, all together against tyranny, get hold of the flag of freedom.
Join with the legitimate government of Catalonia. Join with ten honored and good people who want them free and at home. (Vicent Partal)

QuoVadis Motor Hotel located at 212 South 14th St. in Ponca City,OK. The 88 room motel which opened for business in December 1963 has been sitting abandoned since the Spring of 2022. Note the QuoVadis name was dropped in the mid 1990's and the property became branded as an Econo Lodge. The Econo Lodge name was dropped in the late 2000's at which point the motel was renamed Executive Inn. In it's final years operating the Executive Inn catered to long term guests, many of which had lengthy criminal records.
On a final note the term "Quo Vadis" roughly translates in Latin to "Where are you going?"
This work of art by David Černý in the gardens of the German Embassy in Prague is to commemorate the thousands of citizens from the GDR who fled to the grounds of the embassy in 1989. Many of them left their Trabants behind on the streets of Prague. On September 30th 1989 it was announced they could travel to West Germany. It was one of the first breaches in the iron curtain. leading to the fall of the Berlin Wall in November 1989.
