Inspired by a quilt I saw in a Garnet Hill catalog. I used kona cotton solids, and some chambry and shot cotton. As usual, as it was going together I had a panic attack, thinking it was going to look awful, but now it's a favorite.

A quilt made for me with all my favorite (hoarded) Japanese prints and white essex cotton/linen. Now I get to enjoy these fabrics every day instead of just looking at them on a shelf!

This quilt was made by the lovely Xander Marro who is know for her independent films, performances and silk screens.

Xander said she started doing a print of each silk screen design onto fabric which then became this beautiful quilt which is in the guest room of the Dirt Palace.

This is as artsy as it gets at 6:30 am on my bedroom floor. Finished this quilt at the very last minute, took pictures, then shipped it off to its new owner!

Dimensions: approx 50 x 70

Pattern: Great tutorial from QuilterGeek -- quiltergeek.blogspot.com/2008/02/how-to-make-tetris-quilt...

Fabrics: All calicos from JoAnn Fabrics

Leftovers from the Old Red Barn Co. Quilt Along. The borders are the extras that were too small for the ORB quilts, and the circles are from the leftover fabrics. blogged with tutorial here:

My mom hand topstitched this cheater quilt for a lucky cousin's baby girl, using a yard of my "Sherbet Bunny" faux quilt fabric on the front and my coordinating pink "Houndstooth - Sherbet" on the back side.

She did such a great job, it looks so much better than my machine stitched version!

This is my first attempt to make a single bed quilt for my daughter Sophie. We have chosen Amy Butler fabrics. We love Amy Butler fabrics. This one is from her Ginger Bliss collection.

Moda Bake shop pattern for Ritzy Cracker quilt using Kate Spain's lovely Central Park line. I love it so much I saved half of the layer cake to make another quilt in a different pattern.

Quilt For A Christma Tree

Made with 2.5" half square triangles left over from the x&+ quilts I've made. The solids are all Art Gallery Pure Element fabrics. Bound in Cotton & Steel brown dots.

60"x72".

Pieced with Aurifil 2021, quilted with Aurifil 4150 in free motion loops.

Finished March 2015.

Circle quilt directions from this tutorial posted by Wonderful Life. So glad to have this done!

Blogged here.

Fabric is Red Letter Day, some Amy Butler blue moon dots, a little Sandy Henderson Farmer's Market, and one Heather Bailey print.

I made the top, and had it machine quilted. It went to my sister-in law and brother-in-law.

Honey from Elizabeth Hartman's Book Modern Patchwork.

This is the 9th quilt/block made for CityCraft's Modern Patchwork Quilt Club - citycraftonline.com/

Quilt Top is approximately - 58" x 70"

Print fabrics are from my stash - purchased 17 years ago! Some are a bit "distressed" with faded, permanent crease lines which add to the charm (in my humble opinion that is). These are the same fabrics used in my Glam Garlands Quilt Top.

Solids are Kona White & Kona Slate.

Finished height of the prisms (aka equilateral triangles or 60 degree triangles) is 5" which makes my hexagons 10". Elizabeth's pattern uses a 4 1/2" finished prism which makes a 9" Hexagon.

The layout of the white banded hexagons was inspired by the Heximetry Quilt Pattern by Ali of asquaredw. www.asquaredw.com/2012/08/heximetry.html

Not sure how I will quilt, back or bind this quilt.

Once again, EQ7 was an invaluable help in designing this quilt.

ready for basting, and then hand quilting. the squares are 4.5", and the sashing is 2.5" (after sewing). in retrospect, i think i'd like it better with wider sashing, but it's still a decent size (60x66) (which after all the baby quilts, seems big, now that i've got the hand sewing left to do...).

Inspired by a jelly roll of Daisy Chain by Amy Butler and Chinese Coin quilts.

measures about 18" square

I've had this project in the making for a long time now. I think I will add some borders to it before I quilt it. I LOVE me some Neptune!!!!

Quilt top is finished. It's nice and bright and sunny just what I'd envisioned.

Maeve loves pink. A quilt for being a big sister of the boy that got a jumper I knitted. About 80 x 63 cm - 32" x 24.5". All thrifted materials.

Baby Bunting Quilt made with flower sugar and a natural linen / cotton.

This quilt consists of 12" blocks called Memory. I offered it in a raffle, where it raised over $6,000.

A little of this and a little of that. Alexander Henry Bandana fabric from Pink Chalk Fabrics. Other local fabric shops include the Quilting Loft, Ester's, Quiltworks Northwest, Pacifics and some other random stores.

A velveteen quilt with some embroidery on linen patches to spell out Bonne Nuit or Good Night. This design will be a featured bonus project in my upcoming embroidery pattern collection called Love From A to Z. Photo above borrowed from ImAGingerMonkey

I had this pattern bookmarked on my pinterest board.

Then, I saw this one, and had to make my own.

I went through my stash and chose a few of my favorite prints, not caring if they really coordinate and used the scissor scull guys in the middle because I plan to hang it somewhere around my sewing area.

I also used this one to practice the circle quilting. It was easier than I expected.

Quilt from Moda Wee Play charm pack.

I thought I would get todays photo up before tackling yet more house work.

All I have to do is the side pieces and figure out how best to make it in to a cushion cover, I realised I had not sew the little panels the same as in the tutorial but I like the way it has turned out and it gives me an excuse to do another one I will have to find some more plain fabric first. I'm sure there was a spair pair of cotton curtains some ware

Quilt top made with pebbles of hand-dyed fabrics on a hand-dyed background. Pondering how I will quilt this one.

It's growing! Now it's maybe 12" x 20", so a good doll sized quilt. The windows are various fabrics including vintage sheets, men's shirts, repro 30's, Moda Verna, Bliss, and Fandango, etc.

We inherited this from my husband's grandmother when she passed away. I'm trying to convince my husband it would be so much better out and in use than tucked away in a cedar chest.

This is a twin size quilt. The tiny squares are all, well, postage stamp size. Each block contains 30 squares. Hand quilting. It takes my breath away.

I've been saving scraps in the hopes of someday finding time to do a modern take on this.

I made this quilt patterns from Jeana Kimball's book "Old Voices New Impressions". After taking several classes with her, I have decided that her style and technique is my favorite. I have learned so much from her. This wall hanging is 32 " x 32 " - each block size is 4 3/4 ".

I took on board the feedback about the additional squares and changed shape a little. My partner has requested a table runner, but wanted something more square in dimensions than I was originally considering (is this a US/UK difference? I think of a table runner as long and thin?) Anyway partner, I hope you love it, but whatever the case there are some goodies to go with it which I'm really confident are going to be a hit...

Taken for possible entry into an art show. Most of the fabrics in this quilt were hand dyed by me.

I love this quilt because I used 2 thrifted shirts - the red plaid and the green stripe. I found some scraps to go with them. Two of those are from outfits I sewed for Deanna last year.

I don't like the binding. I was lazy and sewed it on by machine. Next time I'll sew it by hand. It doesn't look nearly as nice this way.

Here's the quilt that I sent to my partner for DQS9. It's not going that far, so hopefully my partner will receive it soon. Also, it's a little bigger than 24". Hope that's okay, partner.
