October 27, 2016 - The Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate partnered with WGBH to present The Citizens' Choice: Raising the Cap on Charter Schools. This panel discussion explored both sides of Question 2 on the 2016 Massachusetts ballot, attempting to answer the question: would raising the cap on charter schools affect Massachusetts for better or for worse?

Olha... se você acha que aterramento é uma coisa simples, sinto muito em te dizer que nem sempre vai ser assim. Um aterramento mal feito coloca sua instalação em risco, ainda mais em se tratando do aterramento TT, o tipo de aterramento que causa muitas discussões entre os profissionais da nossa área. Agora se você ainda não sabe o que é um aterramento TT e/ou também não sabe que o jeito de ligar DPS nesse esquema de aterramento é diferente dos demais esquemas, você tem que ficar comigo até o fim desta aula, porque preparei uma explicação completa e show de bola pra você conseguir entender de uma vez por todas. Primeiro de tudo vamos dar nome aos bois: Afinal, o que é o aterramento TT? Bom, resumidamente, o aterramento TT (ou esquema TT se vc preferir) é aquele em que os equipamentos são aterrados com uma haste própria, diferente da haste usada para aterrar o neutro, ou seja, neste esquema os pontos não estão equipotencializados. Como eu disse, ela causa muitas discussões. E a culpa de muitas destas discussões é a própria norma NBR-5410, que em alguns pontos se contradiz, como por exemplo, no item 5.1.2.2.3.3 cita que “Todas as massa s da instalação situadas em uma mesma edificação devem estar vinculadas à eqüipotencialização principal da edificação.”. Aí eu sempre me perguntei, se é assim, como que um aterramento que não está equipotencializado é permitido? Lembrando a norma menciona sobre o aterramento TT, mas enfim não estamos aqui para questionar a norma, apesar dessas contradições, devemos seguir o que ela determina né. Mas aí que tá, se você optar por um aterramento TT, ou seja que não esteja conectado ao neutro em algum ponto da alimentação elétrica, o jeito de conectar o DPS muda, aí vem a primeira dúvida de muitos eletricistas: ONDE INSTALAR O DPS? ANTES OU DEPOIS DO DR? Bom, o item 6.3.5.2.2 da NBR 5410 ci ta que os DPS´s devem ser instalados o mais próximo possível do ponto de entrada, PORÉM, eles devem ser dispostos como mostra a figura 13. vamos então ver o que tá falando na tal figura 13 “A linha elétrica de energia que chega à edificação inclui o neutro?”. SIM “O neutro está aterrado no barramento de equipotencialização principal da edificação?”. A maioria das edificações não possui este barramento, então vamos pelo caminho do NÃO. Reparem que existe uma letra c minúscula, vamos ver o que ela diz: - A hipótese configura três possibilidades de esquema de aterramento: TT (com neutro), IT com neutro e linha que entra na edificação já em esquema TN S. seguindo vemos que existem 2 esquem as de conexão possíveis. Mas reparem que novamente temos uma letra, desta vez o d minúsculos. Vamos ver o que ela diz: Há situações em que um dos dois esquemas se torna OBRIGATÓRIO, como a do caso relacionado na alínea b) de 6.3.5.2.6. E O QUE CITA ESTE ITEM? “ quando os DPS forem instalados, c onforme indicado em 6.3.5.2.1, junto ao ponto de entrada da linha elétrica na edificação ou no quadro de distribuição principal, o mais próximo possível do ponto de entrada, e a instalação for aí dotada de um ou mais dispositivos DR, os DPS podem ser posicionados a montante ou a jusante do(s) dispositivo(s) DR, respeitadas as seguintes condições: quando a instalação for TT e os DPS forem posicionados a montante do(s) dispositivo(s) DR, os DPS devem ser conectados conforme o esquema 3 (ver figura 13); OPA! neste caso então devemos OBRIGATORIAMENTE adotar o esquema 3 da figura 13! Na prática então vai ficar assim, olha só: Temos aqui um QDC prático, com os barramentos de terra e neutro, e vamos adicionar os dispositivos de proteção, 3 DPS ( duas fases mais neutro), disjuntor gera bipolar e um DR tetrapolar apenas ilustrativo. Vamos começar pelas fases. As duas fases chegam e alimentam o disjuntor geral, elas saem do disjuntor geral e derivam para alimentar os dois DPS de fase e também os dois bornes de fase do DR.

I'm not so worried about these as we don't eat the tops and it hasn't seemed to adversely effect the radishes themselves, but they are near the basil and I'm curious if it is the same insect?

This sci-fi inspired take on the question intends to point out the increasing proportion of social interaction that occurs strictly over social media/online. It serves to satire recent dating trends that emphasize convenience and speed over all else when it comes to finding an ideal match.
I created a hypothetical scenario in which people, instead of posting online profiles detailing their likes, dislikes, etc., will instead upload everything they wish to share to flash drives, which they can then exchange. This will give a far broader picture of who they are, thus bypassing any need for a real date in which you tediously must go through the motions of explaining your past, your dreams and aspirations. The risk of finding yourself stuck on a date you would not want to endure is mitigated. This is a slightly (maybe overly) pessimistic approach to the question posed by IE, and I hope technology does not go so far as to replace dating entirely. I simply thought this would be a comical prediction of where online dating/social interactions are headed in the future.
