My art begins with the question, “Where does art exist?” Does it exist in my mind at the moment of inception? Or does it result in the manifestation of my ideas through installation, a demonstration of my love of and ability to manipulate light?

Society tends to interpret all existence by minimizing everything to black and white, 1’s and 0’s. Yet, in one beam of light, negative space coexists with an abundance of beauty and infinity. Light is pervasive.

My work appeals to individuals seeking connection with intellectually stimulating as well as spiritually soothing art. While quantum physics, topology and Christianity are strong influences, I do not consider my work defined by any one interest. My art is a bridge between all three communities.

@ 20x2 2014 "What's The Last Thing You Remember?"

I condensed the questions even more, added a few repeating phrases, and removed the audio (as suggested in class). This will be displayed on a monitor roughly eye-level. I added the repeating phrases to add to the idea of retrieving memories while being forced to be aware of one’s current position in space. This was to question the effect of current awareness and how it shapes memory. I think this is effective, but fear it might have reverted back to my initial critique where it felt panicked because of the short time the phrases show up.

Why does God love everyone??
