3:15PM in the Sunflower Field. 95+ on this day. Thanks for the look and have a great day.

Late addition to above: I used an 812 warming filter on this shot. It adds a bit of, well, warmth to overly bright, blue skies.

The moon is a loyal companion.

It never leaves. It’s always there, watching, steadfast, knowing us in our light and dark moments, changing forever just as we do. Every day it’s a different version of itself. Sometimes weak and wan, sometimes strong and full of light. The moon understands what it means to be human.

Uncertain. Alone. Cratered by imperfections.

The narrow "Schnoor" alley that gave this quarter it's name is the one starting off towards the right.

The Schnoor quarter is the oldest documented quarter of Bremen and it has largely preserved its medieval character.

First mentioned in the 13th century. The two oldest remaining buildings are from 1401 and 1402 respectively.

You are in Potsdam, but you have the feeling that you are in the Netherlands. It's the Dutch Quarter in Potsdam! ;-) 134 houses that were built at the beginning of the 18th century under the direction of an architect from Amsterdam. Really beautiful and cozy!

Both these shots were taken a few nights ago on my usual walk which is near to where I live.

This is the second primary moon phase and it is defined as the moment the moon has reached the first quarter of its orbit around Earth. As 50% of the moon's surface illuminated, it's also called Half Moon.

The Third Quarter Moon is when the opposite half of the Moon is illuminated compared to the First Quarter.

This clock has its own automations, made by Antonie and presented to Louis XIV in 1706. Automated clocks in this era were not so common and it was the period when the technology started to pioneer.

The old houses in the Armenian quarter are simpler than those in the inner city on the other side of the river. Nowadays, parts of it are torn down and replaced by hotels or buildings from socialist times.

It took me quite some time to figure out that the rusted pipes present everywhere in Georgia are the gas lines which have been built above ground in Russia as it seems.

For me, it was nice to see the golden age of German cars still alive in Georgia. Especially the old Opel Astra evokes memories as I learned driving on its direct predecessor, an E-Kadett with E being the name of the series, not a sign of these soulless electric cars.

First quarter moon this evening.

As my November trip is coming up (natural disasters permitting of course), I thought I could share a photo from my last year's November trip, which was the last one I did packing my old Nikon. I have been to Ireland before, many years ago, but it was just Dublin. This time I decided to stay a few more days there and do some day trips to explore the countryland. Well worth it I will say. Galway is a beautiful city, full of vibe especially during the holiday season. Parking was a bit of a nightmare, however once I started walking Quay street towards Eyre square I instantly felt that festive vibe. Maybe it was a little too crowded for me to enjoy photographing the Latin Quarter. That didnt matter much though. Food was excellent, lots of little stores to browse and buy souvenirs etc and bars to enjoy a few pints of Irish stout.
