This is a technique that I would like to develop. Apparently it's Oriel college quad that looks very Italian to me. Probably that's why I like it so much.

The Head of the River (far right) is an annual inter college rowing race. It's a glimpse into a different rarified world there.

NNR. This was the first time I had seen the 'quad arts'. Superbly restored, the set is so named because the coaches are a set of four and are articulated to share bogies. Apparently, this was to reduce weight and increase acceleration on the suburban lines on the GNR around north London. The picture shows detail of set no 74 - the only set in preservation. I must take my hat off to the people who have done a wonderful job in saving these rare coaches.

Four GP9's (CN 4102, CN 7275, CN 7017 & CN 7031) were in charge of CN 527 today, operating on the transfer track. This track has primarily been used for storage of cars the past few years, but since CN cleared the growth from this track a month ago, there has been an increase in traffic on it.
The second of a couple of new quad walker designs. They both feature the same starting point in terms of design.

Although I've frequently photographed the Stanford Quad from the ground, it is quite a treat to see it from the air. My ride on the slow gliding Zeppelin provided ample opportunity to take a look around campus from 1,500 feet !
Stanford has had fairly strict architectural controls over the years, though some of the newer buildings away from the quad seem to have broken the recipe of Spanish mission with red tile roofs...
