In the the basilica of Saint Quentin - named after the 3rd century saint of the same name, in the city of Saint-Quentin. The building of this church was begun in the 12th century, but not finished until the 15th century - which makes the style of the church both Romanesque, Gothic and Renaissance depending on where in the church you are.
The building was severely damaged during the fighting of the first world war and the rebuilding of the church afterwards wasn't finished until 1956.
Think of all of the lives that intersect here. The inmates, the guards, the employees, the families, going back through time till today. So many memories are in this building.

Meanwhile Quirin's mum Jahe is showing a lot of interest in her boy - a good sign that she will be able to raise her future off-springs

Photo du bas à gauche : l'oeuvre de Quentin DMR. Dans le cadre du festival Urban week une oeuvre collective similaire était réalisée au verso. Les visiteurs volontaires étaient invités à découper des bandes de papier imprimé puis à les coller sous la direction de l'artiste (casquette rouge). En haut à droite, la réalisation terminée.

L'église Saint-Quentin de Mathaux est une église à pans de bois datant de 1761. Elle fut construite par un charpentier de Dienville dans un style inspiré de l'architecture religieuse en pierre de l'époque. Elle est un des plus anciens édifices champenois élevés entièrement en pans de bois.
Les éléments les plus atypiques sont le clocher qui est ancré sur la première travée de la nef et l’imposante tour carrée entièrement masquée d'écailles de bois et surmontée d'un élégant lanternon.
Effondrée, ainsi que la nef par une intempérie en 1983, elle fut rebâtie à l'identique.
À l'intérieur vous pourrez apercevoir un tableau datant du XVIIème siècle représentant le Christ au pressoir ainsi qu’un autel néo-gothique en bois et son tabernacle aux formes originales
