Silence of the Impala. This was one big snake, chowing down on a freshly killed impala. The baboons in the area weren't too thrilled. After taking this picture, I walked the 150 yards back to my camp. That night I double checked the zipper on my tent before going to sleep.

Reticulated Python

Christmas at the Falls, Noccalula Falls Park, Gadsden, Alabama (IMG_1413)

This beautiful python was laying half in a water dish I have outside my house when I woke up the other morning. He stayed in there for a good hour before sliding off into the forest. I noticed he had a very thick tail with an injury - maybe hit by a car or even attacked by one of the many who have snake grudges. There are snakes everywhere at the moment with the heat we're having.

more action for the snakes on a plane/boa vs. python fans.

This guy was right up at the glass, so I was able to bounce the flash for a fairly smooth light.
