Biotope : zones boisées et herbeuses, près de points d'eau
Particularités et mode de vie : ce python timide a une petite taille adaptée aux petites proies de son île. Il est facilement identifiable grâce à la coloration blanche de ses yeux.
Régime alimentaire : rongeurs, oiseaux
Reproduction : espèce ovipare, 15 oeufs

I think it might be a Diamond Python - Morelia spilota spilota - any snake experts out there?

Not seen on one of my present walks! I have only had one walk this week where photos opportunities were good, but as I am prone to doing daft things, I took my camera but not the battery! This photo was taken back in 2006. These pythons were relatively common near the Kinabatangan River in the vicinity of Sukau.
I can't believe my baby touched a python! The Zoo keeper thought that he was trying to push him away, but we know he was excitedly grabbing for the python!
The band played on,the music was getting weird,it wasn't even music,not even sounds,but it was there,distinct and rhythmic,writhing,cavorting and giggling,lots of giggling....it was good clean fun....
