Imágenes retransmitidas por KCTV, mostraron la plaza con una gran fotografía de Kim Jong-il y miles de personas atentas a los discursos de las autoridades militares norcoreanas, entre las que se pudo observar al hijo menor y sucesor del fallecido líder, Kim Jong-un. Mostly chinese workers heading back to the motherland. There were also a number of DPRK soldiers and a group of North Korean dentists who were going to the Congo to work. Probably a good way to spread the Juche Idea- you can't talk back when they are drilling holes in your teeth!

This temple has the curious distinction of being the only Buddhist temple in downtown Pyongyang; of course, it now only functions as a museum. It was built in 1935 under the Japanese, though its pagoda dates from the Koryo dynasty.

It is now in the Kaeson Youth Park
