A young woman’s body was discovered in 1934. She had been bashed and shot, her body dumped and set alight. Police efforts at identifying the body proved fruitless. She became known as the Pyjama Girl having been found dead in her pyjamas. Almost ten years after her death, the Pyjama Girl was identified as Linda Agostini and her husband confessed to the crime in 1944.
This mask was one of the first attempts at forensic facial reconstruction in Australia.
