The sparring of Tai Chi - who would you think the adept judging from the stance?

Brendan and Val dropped by yesterday for a fantastic little visit. I was too lost in sleep deprivation haze to remember to take pictures of them with Nora, though. Sad. (I'm more tired on weekends because I try to give Cori a change to sleep better by taking over as much of the night time child care as possible.)

They brought piroshkis from the market and made us a salad. Nora was fussing a lot of the time they were here but they didn't seem to mind. Good people, them.

Nora was positioned somewhat vertically here, but she still was Desperate to push herself upward. Her head and neck control is vastly improved from even just a couple weeks ago -- owing partly to the fact that I carry her around on my shoulder (burp position) for long periods throughout the day because she seems to like it. Crawling, here we come.

Experiments with M mode on my camera continue. Using M does preclude using the SLR for snapshots -- it's never possible to just pick up the thing and take pictures without fiddling with any dials. We'll see how long this lasts. It's good practice in any case.

This was Angel this morning with Toby yawning and yowling in the background.

This is the back of one of the push pins.

It shows the pins and how they are attached.

Leah loves the swings...I couldn't get her off, and she wouldn't let me stop pushing her! She even held on to that leaf the whole day!
