This is a shot I took because I really liked the wall and it surprised me that it was so “perfect” at 90 degrees.

I took this with a white posterboard background. The background was still a little yellow. A quick photoshop job made it pure white.
Pure black & white photography .. okay this was one tough shoot, pale model, white jeans, white background and floor and add in Swedish blonde locks ... so my quandary was, do I make the wall highlight, the jeans, the hair ??? hmmm , so I opted for 2 max lights bouncing off the back wall ...no shadows and gives definition to the jeans and hair ...and the results were spot on ... I loved them as did Jenny ... a few tricks of the trade for my photographer friends ( or non ) out there...

Teen fashion show demonstrates virtue of modesty

SCOTTSDALE — One by one, the models paraded down the runway as onlookers oohed and ahhed.
After seven months of preparation, the 30 tastefully attired local girls strutted their stuff before parents, grandparents and siblings during the April 20 Pure Fashion show at the Scottsdale Plaza Resort.
Pure Fashion, which has garnered both national and international attention in its bid to teach girls how to recognize true beauty, made its debut in the Phoenix area last year. Teenage girls from both Catholic and public schools throughout the Valley have been learning how to be “pretty, not provocative,” as one of the organization’s mottos states.
After showing off their fashionable-yet-modest outfits, provided by Dillard’s, some of the girls addressed the hundreds of people in attendance regarding what they had learned through the faith-based program.
Angela Costenino, a junior at Tempe Preparatory Academy told the crowd about one of the highlights of the seven-month program: a two-day retreat dubbed “A Heart and Soul Makeover Weekend.”

It's Friday and time to take a break, so what else other than my Pure Gold Ecco's to go for a walk in as they reflect the lovely golden sunshine. But don't tell anyone as I am meant to be spring cleaning the garage. Shoosh its a secret!

Our Shivaratri celebrations were hosted live from Mauritius with Paramahamsa Vishwananda and Shree Peetha Nilaya - The Ashram. Festivities included several Shiva-lingam abhishekams, yajnas, and of course, beautiful kirtan by Bhakti Marga's devoted and talented musicians.
