A good news story! Grey seal numbers, in the UK, have increased from only 500 in the early 20th century to more than 120 000 now. Here are a few of last year's pups.

So cute , wanted to take this one home , or maybe i did :))

A good friend got her new pup, Cato. She is going to be trained as a rescue-dog.

A portrait of one of our dogs, Etta.

Imagine 4 otter pups running all over the place with photographers following them. Quite a crazy time. They are so fast in the water and on land. Here they are on the boardwalk or trying to squeeze in.

Thanks so much for the visit!

Mom showing her new pup what to do. She looks sleepy. Poor girl. We all know what that's like, huh?

Thank you for viewing.

Rotti pup is getting used to traveling in a car...hard to believe she is only four months old!

I believe this little pup is the same one I photographed late summer on the beach. She looks about the right size and same coloring. She appears healthy, which is so positive since more than 50% of pups don't survive their first year. Fingers crossed she makes it to her first birthday. So adorable.

Taken Donna Nook, North Lincolnshire.

Donna Nook which is operated by Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust, covering more than 10km (6.25 miles) of coastline between Grainthorpe Haven in the north and Saltfleet in the south where it borders the Saltfleetby-Theddlethorpe National Nature Reserve. Every November and December, grey seals come to the Donna Nook coastline to give birth to their pups near the sand dunes; a wildlife spectacle which attracts visitors from across the UK. This year over 2205 pups were born, with over 500+ bulls who battle it out for the right to produce the next generation.

A little fox pup hidden among the tall grass close to Mew Lake Road. If you are driving by be sure to slow down as there is a den near the road! More images to come but I love how curious these little ones were!

Here is my second picture I created for Halloween starring Asha as the worried Mother and the Witch dogtor. Introducing Wee Ashala the wee pup who won't do tricks for treats and has been diagnosed as untreatable by the Witch-dogtor.

I have renamed this build: Patience, because it amazes me how much patience and perseverance animals must exhibit when they are starving in cold winter weather. We take it for granted with our cupboards and refrigerators stocked with food. :P

This build is an update with a little fox pup added.

One of 6 red fox pups, watching these pups playing and exploring their den site was amazing.

This pup, almost out of baby-fluff, came up the beach for a closer look. I stayed a respectful distance and used the long lens for this portrait.

Black-tailed prairie dog puppies tussle, like all young siblings do, well at least me and mine. While four wrestle for dominance, the one on the right munches whatever PD's eat.

So it appears my plans are foiled by the muckity-mucks at flickr.... it seems if you add a picture to a group you can't leave it with favorites only. Members of the group can still comment on the photo.

So, I will just put it out there.. I will continue to post, comment if you wish they have always been and will continue to be greatly appreciated. I will attempt to do the best I can do... but know that I am checking in and I am still enjoying the places you take me!

Re-edit of this young coyote pup that had no fear being out in the open. Archives. County of Parkland Alberta

One of at least six or seven fox pups, during the spring i was quite blessed to have so many fox encounters like never before. They're almost fully grown up by now and learn to hunt by themselves. Hope many of them survive and don't get shot. In areas of intense hunting the red fox litter is much bigger (up to 8-10 pups) than in areas where is no or only little hunting (3-4 pups)...Southern Bavaria

A few more from the Grey Seal project. Most have now returned to sea so my trip tomorrow may well be the last for this season. I'll hopefully have time to work with them again when they return at the end of this year.

Seal pup from horsey gap in Norfolk

From some fox photos I took in 2012 but never posted this one.

This pup was from a litter under a shed in the neighbourhood.

Another shot from Monday.
