What a wonderful day yesterday was! As planned we headed to Roanoke for church and after the services we went to a fellow church goers house for lunch and fellowship, and they had puppies! 7 all together and these are English Golden Retrievers about 2 weeks old. Cutest things ever! :) Then on the way home we thought at first we saw a bear in the road, turned out it was a newly born Black Angus calf! Cars were whizzing around the poor thing so, not dressed for calf catching we hunted the nearest farm house driveway. This drive turned into about a half mile long track through cow fields with Gorgeous views to a house and barn where fortunately the farmer was out working on his tractor. When we left he and a couple of other do-gooders had the calf on the side of the road and hopefully it was soon united with Mama. What a day. Puppies and Calves and church all rolled into one very pleasant experience. :) Hope you all have a wonderful Sunday. Anita and I are headed North today to see what we can see. ;)

I found a puppy! It's not mine, but I had to take pictures when my sister brought over a puppy she was watching for someone recently.
Bree is a bird dog (Brittany) without the opportunity to hunt birds. So she has turned her attention to hunting lizards. She would rather hunt lizards than have a biscuit. I couldn't get the lizard on the other side of the fence without messing up her intensity.
A chihuahua named Kiko crashed the party during Ashley's photo shoot with my new hat.

Maybe the only benefit of being so cold out here is that you have to move around and do something or else you'll keep thinking about your freezing hands more than finding your next photograph. It puts you in survival mode, makes you move and allows you to cover more ground in a short amount of time, increasing your chances of finding interesting scenes.

I was gonna try and get some neat shots of the little bugger but have had the stomach flu all day!!!! Yuck...over the toilet all day!! Think I'm finally over that...just a bad headache. Glad it is a Sunday and Sams home...this puppy would have drove me nuts! Have a nice evening all.
