The second pup on the right is really doing nicely! The pup on the left is of course huge and healthy. Once they get to be about 1/2 or 3/4 the size of the parent, I'll probably have to cut them off.

So scared the first day they arrived at our house... this little family was scheduled for euthanasia before they were rescued and brought back to ARF.
This pup was born just 30 minutes before we arrived at Donna Nook.
The grey seal (Halichoerus grypus, meaning "hooked-nosed sea pig")
In the United Kingdom and Ireland, the grey seal breeds in several colonies on and around the coasts. Notably large colonies are at Donna Nook (Lincolnshire)
The name is supposedly to be that of a ship called 'The Donna', part of the Spanish Armada, which sank off the Nook (a small headland) in 1588.
