The sun throws up myriad hues on the Eastern horizon as the City of Pune lies shrouded in layers of overnight fog. The temple in the foreground and tall builidings in the background catch the sibilant light of the rising sun to light up the urban candor.
This photograph was shot in late November 2010.
As of now ( in early April ) the millenia old lava formed plateau is slowly firing up its summer griddle and it is a hot place to be in. Dry, hot and uncomfortable.

After moving from Singapore to India around early September, I have been really busy settling down. Except some couple of photos of my 6 moths old son, I didn’t really get a chance to go out and shoot.
Today, I was looking out of my apartment gallery and this amazing scene caught my attention. It would have been hardly 10 mins left for sun to set. Didn’t waste a moment. Immediately rushed to the building security to get the access to building top. Grabbed basic gears and literally ran to very end of the building to get this clear view.
I know, its not really a great location, but this scene composed by these beautiful clouds, these colors and sun rays definitely deserved a shot.
Planing to go out more and shoot as much as I can.
The Piper plays a tune of oft repeated hits on the streets of India. From Come September, Tequila to Hindi songs, the repoertoire is quite vast. No music scores for them. They just learn it by rote.

Music and performances have long been an arena based on birth in India. If you were a court performer who sang and danced then the whole village did that and so would the children born i the community. Caste system may have been the worst enemy that India ever had and may still be suffering from it.
Not much has changed. Children of film actors and actresses continue the miserable performances that their parents engaged in. Just illustrating with an example that is all too visible on the large screen.
The garish dark violet uniform jackets of the livery do not take away the exhaustion and disconnect from the people who don it and practice their proession.

Took this snap from my home at Pune.
Did a bit of post processing ( played with Tint and Temperature) to get this effect and feel.
Loved the serene and cool feel the snaps give.
Hope you too like it!
