I got this idea from extremepumkins.com. You don't even have to cut open his skull, er. . lid. Just cut a big mouth and scoop the guts out right in front of it. I don't think he's supposed to look quite this upset though.
Makes a little bit of a mess. Therefore, its better to do it at someone else house, on their front steps or backyard. Act really proud of it. Like you did them a favor by blessing them with your superb artistry. Then just leave it there for them to clean up.
I wonder if the squirrels would eat the seeds? Or maybe the birds? Maybe not.

We found a recipe online on how to make puke but once it was done it didn't look like puke at all - it just smelled like puke. And I almost threw up from the smell of it. Once we found the recipe which only involved a banana and water we were so relieved.
