jamais 2 sans 3 ...

I know there are a thousand and one shots of this waterfall, and now I can add mine. To get the shot of the entire falls, you literally need to stand in the water. But that was okay because after the hike I was hot and it was refreshing.

Proxy Falls, also known as Lower Proxy Falls, is a cascade and plunge waterfall from a collection of springs on the shoulder of North Sister, that plunges into a gaping canyon near McKenzie Pass in the Willamette National Forest, near Belknap Springs, Oregon. The waterfall is notable for its main drop of 226 feet (69 m) which makes it one of the highest plunge waterfalls in Oregon.

Ok, yes, its a pun. This is Proxy falls and it gets you very wet, there is loads of mist here. This was about as close as I could get with only minimal lens wiping. This was our first time to Proxy, which was hard to believe when we saw tit. These falls are amazing! I took several images (naturally) and while this one does not quite show the full falls, I though it did a good job pulling you into the frame, and left imagination as to where the falls are coming from.

Enjoy, let me know what you think.

Low summer flows allowed me to cross the namesake river of Proxy Falls. The late morning light just finding a couple of small openings and catching the top of the waterfall.

They won't notice. Probably.

Another image from my snowy visit to Proxy Falls, a real feast for the eyes it was...

A half-second exposure of a cascade along Proxy Creek, just below the major falls of the same name. In the McKenzie River watershed of the Cascade Range in west-central Oregon.

🌍Respectez la nature elle est fragile !!🌳

Willamette National Forest, Oregon.

Hiker rejoices in the refreshing spray on a hot summer day. Proxy Falls is a beautiful 226 foot veil waterfall that cascades down a wall of mossy columnar basalt. One's camera lens also gets wet but that's all part of the fun.

A very nice waterfall...
