Xàtiva is a city in the Spanish province of Valencia and is the birthplace of two popes. Xàtiva is the Valencian name for this city, but in Castellano this city is called 'Jativa'. This city is located in a beautiful area of hills, vineyards, orange groves and cypress trees on the northern slopes of Monte Vernissa, a two-peaked hill topped by the castle of Xativa. Ermita de Sant Josep is a very picturesque church half way up the mountain road to Xativa Castle. This castle consists of a double fortification divided between the older "Castillo Menor" small castle, built on the Iberian and Roman remains of the site, and the more recent "Castillo Mayor" main castle, built during the Middle Ages. It is located at an altitude of 310 meters above the modern city. The walls mainly date from the period during the Arab occupation. The fortress is strategically located on the ancient Via Augusta road that leads from Rome over the Pyrenees and along the Mediterranean coast to Cartagena and Cádiz. Although the town has expanded in recent years, there are still many old quarters and beautiful medieval monuments to be found. It really is such a small town that you can enjoy as a Spain lover!
One of the most beautiful towns in Spain, Xàtiva is defined by its delicious gastronomy, fascinating history and beautiful naturescapes. Sant Josep is a very picturesque church half way up the mountain road to Xativa Castle, you find this little terras, with a wonderful view, where you can have something to eat and drink The Hermitage of Sant Josep, beautiful, elegant, slender, stands out from all the cardinal points of Xàtiva. Located in an elevated place, on the slopes of the Castell, the Hermitage of Sant Josep becomes a luminous focus of the city, bright by day, illuminated at night. It is an symbolic building.

The town of Bermeo is a Biscayan municipality in the Busturialdea region, in the autonomous community of the Basque Country, Spain. It is one of the most populated towns in the region of the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve, together with Guernica and Luno, with 16,864 inhabitants (INE, 2020).
Founded in 1236, the town held the title of Head of Vizcaya from 1476 to 1602, being the main population of the Lordship of Vizcaya. That is why Bermeo enjoyed certain privileges and why it enjoyed greater relevance compared to the rest of the towns in the General Meetings of Vizcaya. To this must be added the oaths that the kings made in the church of Santa Eufemia every time they visited the province.
Currently, it is a town rooted in the seafaring tradition, since its economy is based mainly on fishing and canned fish.
It also has different tourist attractions such as the hermitage of San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, the Ercilla tower (Fisherman's Museum), the Puerta de San Juan, the old town, the Atalaya and the asylum and its welcoming port, among others.

Canon 6D with Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6L IS USM
So after doing some test shots on the 4th, I decided to take the 70-300mm F/4-5.6L IS USM into the field on the 5th.
We had received some snow over night, and the sky looked promising.
This series of pictures is among my favorites all time.
This first installment of four (there will be several more) were taken at a scenic overlook whose property with road frontage was purchased by a conservation group. Their purchase ensures that these views will continue to be available for many years to come.
Hope you enjoy!

Garden Village, Burnaby, British Columbia
Apricale is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Imperia in the Italian region Liguria, located close to the french border, about 120 km northwest of Genoa and about 30 km west of Imperia. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 592.
The village was established on the X Century by the Earl of Ventimiglia. On 1276 it became a possession of the Doria Family, the most powerfull family in Genoa.
On 1573 the Grimaldi from Monaco destroyed the castle.
Down into the narrow valley dividing Apricale from the village of Perinaldo lays a charachteristic middle-age bridge.
