After the rain @ Nxai Pan, Botswana.
This was taken in real bad conditions. I used 300 mm lens + 2.0 converter = 600mm, ISO1600, shortest stop @ f5.6 and 1/160sec, beanbag leaned on ceiling of open vehicle.
In original size the shot is a bit noisy, but on these conditions, I am very pleased of the result.
My daughter, Jenn, of @coppercactusdiy @nature_in_minutes and @valleybuzzsaw on IG wrote one of the stories in this anthology. Can’t wait to read it! #book #theGLOWproject

This is our youngest son Brian almost 6 years in the Navy now and receiving an award where he is stationed in Guam. He's coming HOME the 14th of Nov. till Dec. 5th and it the first time we've seen and TOUCHED him in 3 years and I can hardly WAIT till that day.............can you tell I'm excited? I didn't take this but Brian shared it with me and I"m gonna share it with all of you, hope you don't mind.

I hope I'm not normally a braggy mom, but can I just take a moment to kvell over my daughter? She just called to tell me she won her school's art award, for her photography and other artistic endeavors. Can't believe she'll be a senior next year: how is this possible?

My son called me this morning to tell me he asked his girlfriend, Rachel, to marry him and she said YES! :) Not sure yet when the wedding will be, but they are officially engaged! What great news to hear!!! Had to post and share with all my friends here on flickr. I took this photo of the two of them last Christmas, now they are out in California. Congratulations to Eric and Rachel. With much love, from Mom!
