A protection scheme in a power system is designed to continuously monitor the power system to ensure maximum continuity of electrical supply with minimum damage to life, equipment and equipment and property. It is essential to protect power system from faults and disturbances as it will cause increase in cost. It includes the protection of generator, transformer, bus bar, transmission line and induction motor.
The book is primarily intended to serve as a text book in accordance with the syllabus of protection of power system, offered by Rajasthan Technical University, Kota for B.Tech 6th semester students. A large number of review questions have been added to enable the students to understand the latest trends.

Malakal, 26 November 2024: While on a patrol covering the UNMISS protection of civilians site in Malakal and its surroundings, an UNMISS UNPOL team engaged with local authorities, including officers at the nearby police station, to better understand the current security situation, operational strategies used, and challenges faced to keep the community safe.
