This is in a Provincial Park, where they can't really control active beavers like they do on private property, and so they can only control their damage with structures like this. By protecting an important drainage channel with these, beaver can't dam it, and the water can get closer to where it needs to go expeditiously...

……Well hopefully it is!! Last year the birds caused havoc with the Runner Beans, resown many times! So this year I’ve saved a load of Yoghurt tubs, cut the bottoms off & slit them up the side to protect them, It’s Pigeons primarily I think!! So fingers crossed they will leave them alone, once they get to about 18" high I can take them off. So that’s my #128 photo of the day taken on my phone in Apple RAW and edited in Lightroom. Alan:-)
