Thank you

Blip post for Tuesday 30th November 2010. Last pic for Movember.

PSMA-based therapies have been proven effective for patients with advanced prostate cancer for whom surgical and other medical options have already exhausted themselves. They offer a new ray of hope.

The Department of Nuclear Medicine at Fortis Memorial Research Institute (FMRI), Gurugram, India, has treated more than 30 new patients of Castration Resistance Prostate Cancer (CRPC) with Ac225 PSMA Therapy. The results are extremely promising with 75-80% of patients showing evidences of significant radiological and biochemical response with prolonged duration of response.

Growing a moustache in November, Movember, is a way of raising awareness of prostate cancer and also to fundraise for improved research in, and dealing with, this common form of cancer. For more: www.movember.com/m/2260684

My friend's dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer and died recently.

As a mark of respect a group of us are raising money for mens health charities by growing a moustache. Why a moustache you may ask?

Well, Movember is a moustache growing charity event held during November that raises funds & awareness for men's health.

In 2010, over 100,000 people in the UK got on board, raising over £10 million.

Just £1 will make a difference. Between all of the team and the people we know, we'll raise £1000's. I'd love you to be a part of that.

The funds raised are directed to programs run directly by Movember and our men's health partners, The Prostate Cancer Charity and the Institute of Cancer Research. They support a broad range of programs in the areas of awareness and education, survivorship and research.

This is a photo I took at my parent’s 40th wedding anniversary, June 19, 2005, which fell on Father’s Day. I normally wouldn’t tag along on an anniversary, but they invited my brother and me, lol =)

Jimmy Fund Walk update: I walked 10 miles today. I’m tired, a little sore, but I feel that I am well on track of accomplishing my goal to walk 13 miles 15 days from now. I have raised a total of $575 and have a pledge for $25, I feel that I should be able to reach my new goal of raising $750 by then.

Thanks to all of my Flickr friends for your support!

RollerCon 2015: Chippendales vs Magic Mikes

Day by day I'm documenting my growth of a moustache.

Why am I doing this? To raise funds for prostate cancer through Movember.

Support my awkward efforts with cash and gawking on my MoSpace page.
