in Madinah, Saudi Arabia.

Around 75000 person attended this night prayer.

A lot of men in Dhaka dye their beard and sometimes hair with Henna. The reason for this is a religious one with the Prophet Muhammad apparently dying his beard with Henna back in the day. Islam is the largest religion in Bangladesh with 90% of the population being Muslim. That's a lot of ginger beards... This happy chap had been growing his for ten years.

Al Madinah, Saudi Arabia

His Holiness Younus AlGohar answers viewer-submitted questions about the rise of atheism in the United Kingdom and properly raising children.

Transcript: www.theawaitedone.com/articles...

Main points:

-People are no longer religious because the religion is not able to connect people to God. When they call upon God, they do not receive help from God and the practice of religion is not benefiting them at all.

⁃Religion has been dragged through the mire by the actions of religious people. The practice of religion is not benefiting anybody; rather it is polluting hearts of people and making divisions among human beings.

⁃If Christianity in contemporary times had the calibre to connect people with God, and they would have felt God’s presence in their heart www.theawaitedone.com/teaching..., they would have never rejected God or said that God does not exist.

⁃The filth will stay in this world as long as the ideology of filth is there. Any philosophy or ideology that generates violence, hatred, killing, turns you against humanity or motivates you to kill people is unholy. It cannot come from God.

⁃Teach your children tolerance; tell them that all the religion are good and that nobody is their enemy.

The Holy month of Ramadan begins tomorrow with the sighting of the moon tonight.

A month of restraint and time to be spend in cleansing body and mind,

dedicated in prayers, reflecting on your actions and life.....

So that each individual emerge at the end of this month like a fresh new leaf.

One might ask, isn't the same needed all round the year.?

Yes it is - a time to re-new your commitment to God and life.

Ramadan Mubarak to all my dear friends

His Holiness Younus AlGohar responds to Wahhabis who defend the Wahhabi cult and reveals what will happen in the near future in the Arab world.

Main points:

- Individuals who are now trying to defend Wahhabism are doing so in order to save their own skin; in order to tell themselves that they have not been wrong. The problem is: most Wahhabis do not know what Wahhabism is.

- Wahhabis say that those who disrespect Islam should be killed; but there is no such thing in Islam. Prophet Mohammad did not say, ‘Kill them because they are blaspheming your true God.’ Rather, he said, ‘You should not blaspheme their false God; and in return, they will not blaspheme your true God.’

- Abdul Wahhab Najdi is the man who Wahhabism is named after. However, the doctrine he is inspired by does not come from himself. It is the continuation of the doctrine of Ibn Taymiyyah. Then, Ibn Taymiyyah must have been inspired by Umar bin Khattab.

- The Quran 49:2 says, ‘Do not raise your voice over the voice of Prophet Mohammad.’ This verse does not apply to us because Prophet Mohammad is not here. This verse was for Prophet Mohammad’s time. Umar bin Khattab was actually and factually the founder of Wahhabism.

- The Quran 68:4 also said ‘Have we not sent you as blessings for the entire universe?’ Is the universe filled with Muslims only and there are no non-Muslims? Prophet Mohammad’s mercy and blessings are not confined, restricted or limited to Muslims only. It is for the entire universe.

- According to Prophetic Traditions, Imam Mehdi will snatch away the Saudi Kingdom. This is why they don’t like Imam Mehdi. The time has come; overnight Imam Mehdi will become known to every single human being on Earth.

Shiaite boy mourning for Imam Hussain night before Ashura.

His Holiness Younus AlGohar responds to rumours circulating the internet that Prophet Mohammad slept with a 6-year-old girl.

Main points:

Those who say Prophet Mohammad slept with a 6-year-old girl are placing an allegation upon him.

Abu Bakr Sadiq, Aisha's father, gifted her to Prophet Mohammad when she was 6. She lived in his house but he did not develop intimate relations with her until after she reached puberty.

According to the system in Western countries, a 60-year-old can have sex with a 19-year-old if both parties are consenting. But 1400 years ago in Hijaz, the system was different.

Those who force someone to have sex with them is a rapist. Prophet Mohammad never forced any woman to enter into sexual relations with him. What ISIS is doing is brutality and it is not sanctioned by Islam.

How Sufism, the core of Islam, is divided into two distinctive branches characterised by whether someone has Sifati Noor (Divine Energy of God’s Attributes) or Zaati Noor (Divine Energy of God’s Person).

This video is in Urdu.

Main points:

- The Religion of Islam is not to be found in books. If anyone knew the religion today, they would not be Shias, Sunnis or Wahhabis. Islam is not to be found in the Quran; the Quran we see today in the form of a book doesn’t even have the Quran in it. The real Quran is that which was revealed onto Prophet Mohammad’s heart. You must obtain connection to Prophet Mohammad.

- Sufism has two branches: Wehdat ul Wajood and Wehdat ul Shahood. People of Wehdat ul Wajood get benevolence from the divine energy of attributes of God (Sifati Noor), whereas people of Wehdat ul Shahood get benevolence from the divine energy of God’s Person (Zaati Noor). All the prophets were given specific names of God to bless their followers with; Prophet Mohammad was the only one who got God’s Personal Name, so he was the only one who saw God. People of Wehdat ul Wajood cannot see God.

- People of Wehdat ul Wajood can see Noor (divine energy) of God’s attributes (Sifat). Wherever they see this Noor, they say, ‘This is God’. This is why in Hindu spiritualists said that they saw God in a generous person, a mother, and even cows or monkeys. God has granted parts of his attributes to different creation; what these spiritualists saw were God’s attributes in action. People of Wehdat ul Shahood do not see God in common creation, because the common creation does not have God’s Zaati Noor. If you ask a person of Wehdat ul Wajood where God is, they will say that God is everywhere. If you ask a person of Wehdat ul Shahood, they will say that God is far away, because they are referring to the Person of God, not his attributes.

- God is in Alam-e-Ahdiyat (The Realm of Oneness), situated on his throne. People of Wehdat ul Shahood are able to witness God’s beauty from Alam-e-Wahdat, but no one can cross into Alam-e-Ahdiyat. When they see God, it is like standing at a border and looking across. Prophet Mohammad is stationed at Moqam-e-Mehmood which is also in Alam-e-Wahdat; this is his culmination.

Alleged Footprint of the Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) in Topkapi Palace, Istanbul

Walking down the arched central corridor of the infinite Damascus souk, I hear the noise. A chanting, strong, arrhythmic song that halts abruptly: interrupted by cries of strain and effort and a sound I do not know. It is an aggressive, unyielding sound that I just cannot place.

Walking down the arched central corridor alone in central Damascus, I am pleasantly lost. It is the middle of Ramadan and life here bears no recognition to anything I have ever known. The communities around me are lost in their great fast. Life slows but does not stop. The children still run, the shops still open but the men, they slouch and huff against the doorways. The stunning generosity shown to me is done with a sense of duty but not with a smile. The smiles come when 7pm is called out and this sprawling city halts in every way to eat, to drink, to wash and to pray. All of this is extra-ordinary: a base ritual for them, a change of worlds for me.

What comes towards me is not that starved stasis though. This has energy and life that belies the hungry stomachs and the parched throats. As it draws near I see the pendants and flags. The scrawling Arabic writing and resplendent drawings depict some scenes, some tragedies I remain all too ignorant of. The chants are led by what I learn to be called Nuhakans who recite ancient odes that mark the slow end of Hussein, grandson of the Prophet Muhammed, and the blood-letting and grieving that followed this historic massacre.

All of this is remarkable to see but it is not this that draws my eyes. There under the bursting shards of sunlight and those glowing pendants is a throng of men: a regimented rabble of bare-chested men who stare through the world before them. As the chants stop, the sound I realise I did not recognise was that of each one of these men, Shia Muslims, striking their chest with open palms.

Those words undermine their efforts. Each man stretches his hand into the waiting air and, in beat with his brethren, hurtles his open palm down onto his smarting, bruised body with so much force that they can barely stand against the blow. Their skin is purple and red, stretched and clearly agonising. Yet they continue. The chants start, they march in line and finally stop, just metres along the street to begin again.

Some, on closer inspection, have welts and scars lining their back. The gouges that have made these marks came from the voluntary, self-imposed flagellation with a bunch of hooks tethered to a rope called zanjirs. I can barely raise a camera to capture this, I most certainly cannot look away. There is no shame in this voyeurism. I am privileged to have seen this most public display of devout faith. Here is suffering brought down through the centuries and reborn with every generation. Here is a willingness to replace your body with a love for an unseen God. There is nothing that I can think that is comparable in my western world. There are, and I have said this before, few words that say to you what this was to see. This is flagellation. A public, pained and beatific display of an emotion I cannot say I have ever felt but will always claim to have sought. There is something of me in there. Something of the reason I am out here alone in what they do. The difference is in the magnitude. The difference is they have their answers.

As the crowd eventually passes I am left standing. I feel mechanical and thin. What do I carry with me that has even a sliver of such passion? What they believe I do not believe. What they practice I cannot condone and what they practice I could never follow. Yet for all that, I felt something. Through sheer proximity with this display something got past the lens, through the calm, atheistic observer role I was taking and got deep inside of me. I step down another of the warren paths that open up for me and my heart is beating, my eyes are wide and I feel like I am seeing the world with a new depth.
