The London to Brighton Veteran Car Rally 2018 was held on Sunday, 4th November 2018, in London, celebrating the anniversary of the original 1896 Emancipation Run. Nearly 400 pioneering veteran cars with their drivers and passengers gathered in Hyde Park waiting for daybreak to signal the start of this 2018 London to Brighton Veteran Car Run.

This year 2018, for the first time in its 122-year history, the 60-mile route split into two, thus alleviating traffic congestion in South London.
Half of the participants traveled over Westminster Bridge and then followed the traditional A23 route via Kennington, Brixton, and Streatham Common; the other half left via Millbank, over Lambeth Bridge, then journeyed via Vauxhall, Clapham Common, and Tooting. The two routes merged on the A236 just north of Croydon with the entire cavalcade reunited as it headed to the spectator-friendly halfway point in Crawley High Street, the South Downs and eventually the Madeira Drive seafront in Brighton.

The Coalition wants to enter into a community benefits agreement with the incoming Obama Presidential Library. If enacted such an agreement would create jobs,and maintain affordable housing for south side residents,.
They're worried about the displacement of low-income residents due to gentrification, something that has happened in other cities. Real estate developers might move in to capitalize on rising property values a phenomenon that would contribute to displacement. They don't trust the University of Chicago, or Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel who has shown disdain for the needs and concerns of black and brown communities all across the city.
This would not be a private agreement with the Obama Foundation.This would be an ordinance, or city law, signed by the city council that would apply to all residents and be legally enforceable. In other words, they want Rahm real estgate developers and the U of C to do the right thing and put it in writing. Don't just talk about it.

After having a bit of a walk at lunch time, I noticed this.. Is this a sign that the credit crunch has got a grip on Nottingham? Well I don't think as a potential home buyer I'd be interested if I saw all these for sale and to let signs! Either people can no longer afford the appartments here, or it is a really bad area to live in! I don't think the area is that bad, so I guess it's the credit crunch!

This year 2018, for the first time in its 122-year history, the 60-mile route split into two, thus alleviating traffic congestion in South London.
Half of the participants traveled over Westminster Bridge and then followed the traditional A23 route via Kennington, Brixton, and Streatham Common; the other half left via Millbank, over Lambeth Bridge, then journeyed via Vauxhall, Clapham Common, and Tooting. The two routes merged on the A236 just north of Croydon with the entire cavalcade reunited as it headed to the spectator-friendly halfway point in Crawley High Street, the South Downs and eventually the Madeira Drive seafront in Brighton.
