Swanbourne Park rises like a monster ... in barely a week since I took the last photos, scaffolding has appeared.
Sheldon Square the first part of the Paddington Central development, designed by the Siddell Gibson Partnership, is built on the site of the first Paddington Station and Goods Depot (1838). As this was originally 8m below the level of the canal the new development has been erected on a platform at the present ground level. Sheldon Square, the "public space" in the centre of the development, has been designed to make use of the lower ground level.
One of the series of pedestrian bridges incorporated into the Paddington Basin masterplan by Terry Farrell. This one links the Waterside development to St. Mary's Hospital and unlike the others is not entirely new but a refurbishment of an existing one.
