Do you read proper books? That's to say unrepentantly high-brow challenging stuff in this completely dumbed down age we're suffering through. I strive to, but I don't get through them nearly as fast as I should.
This is the small independent Calder Bookshop near Waterloo. Their list of titles is really impressive.

And so to the the proper 'business' with the Chaddesden timed leaving 30 minutes early, it must have got signal checked between Peak Forest signal box and Chinley south as it appeared back on time just around the curve from Chinley south, at Chinley east, on time. Now with Balfour Beatty class 20, 20189 leading and BR blue 20205 behind, the set looks to just have sat for a while at Peak Forest, the locos running around to come onto the rear of the set of PNA wagons before setting off back for Chaddesden 31 minutes early at 13:54. This is now the 6Z21, Peak Forest Cemex to Chaddesden Sidings via the Totley Tunnel and then the Dore west to south curve to once more gain the Midland main line out of Sheffield and towards Chesterfield. Its now just on 2pm and in this 2-part panorama, already the sun is low in the sky producing striking blue shadows across the distant hillsides; my feet are getting very cold stood atop the pile of frozen grit and I'm ready to move off.. which I did, then came back for the last loco move of the afternoon! In the lower picture, just about do-able by swinging the camera immediately around, resplendent colours of the two 20s show up against the now shadow-strewn and hazy hillsides, off in the distance; that line-side vegetation needs some attention...
For a couple of years at the end of the 1980s my wife and I owned a pub and the opportunities to take time-off at the weekend were few and far between. On Saturday 28 December 1988 ex-LMS Black 5 numbered 45407 worked 'The Cumbrian Mountain Express' and it is seen near Horton-in-Ribblesdale. The train originated at London Euston and steam took over at Hellifield; at this time the S & C was still under the threat of closure, no doubt many of the participants thought that this might be their last journey over the splendid railway. Note the 'ETHEL' (Electric Train Heating Locomotive) behind 45407.

Six ordered from a Cornish Bakehouse , Frozen "on line" around 1530 hrs Friday afternoon , delivered in an Ice Packed Box 1030 Hrs Saturday morning by an overnight courier service !
Placed by me Straightway into my Freezer .
Straight out of the Freezer and into my Oven.... 50 mins later.....Proper Job

17535 is another of the dual door Tridents that recently came up from London and painted in the proper Magic colours for the 141 route. Pressed into service before conversion to single door layout, this one has the more forward sited center doors and apparently as the wheel chair ramp is located in the center doorway it complicates conversion a little. LY02OAA is slightly off route today as it has a stint on the 142 route and I’ve just noticed it doesn’t carry any Magic branding.

Proper attire for the fiords of New Zealand where the weather went from calm to windy and sunny to rain in just a few minutes in continuous rotation.
Today we finally had some time for a serious photoshoot! :D
Coco, MrForMonkey and me went to the Montjuic Cementery. It's a very lovely place near the Mediteranean, on a mount called Monjuic. It's on the left side of Barcelona city limits.
I made Coco a quick dress specially for the ocation. Even if it was done in 2 hours only it turned out very cute! I only did a quick pattern for the skirt and went from there adjusting it on the body. (for example, the arm holes are just that, a hole on the fabric :P)
I wish to make a proper pattern and execution as I like this dress very much. Little flower on the headband was also made by me on "Wardrobe accessory" Class. :)
