Hasidic Rabbis in Jerusalem, Israel. Still dressed like they're Eastern Europe. It would be nice if they shed their exile clothes.
The historic town of Cairo is one of the saddest towns that I have ever seen. It is a victim of the decline of river trade and commuter railroad and hatred.
In 1969, Cairo was the site of an intense civil rights struggle to end segregation. The threat of violence resulted in the National Guard being called in to restore order. The United Front civil rights organization led a decade-long boycott of all the white-owned businesses. Its economy crippled. The white owners fled the city and now it is left in complete decay. The downtown is now a ghost town. To see such an historic place perish was truly heartbreaking. It is impossible to convey the level of destruction present there.
Here is more information about Cairo.

To the ghetto fighters
To the partisans
To those who rebelled in the camps
To the fighters of the underground
To the soldiers in the armies
To those who saved their brethren
To the courageous people who took part in the clandestine immigration
The heroes of valor and revolt
For everlasting life"
