When I left Switzerland for Greece, I forgot to take my slippers along, and these were the only substitute I could find on the island... I hadn't thought of this image until you've led me there, and now: here it is, and it makes me smile -- thank you! :-)))

Perhaps then, someday far in the future, you will gradually, without even noticing it, live your way into the answer. Perhaps you do carry within you the possibility of creating and forming, as an especially blessed and pure way of living; train you for that but take whatever comes, with great trust, and as long as it comes out of your will, out of some need of your innermost self, then take it upon yourself, and don't hate anything.

This is the last of our detailed tour of the Israel Museum's Jerusalem model. Thank you all for your comments. Next, we'll have a short visit to Yad vashem Holocaust Memorial and then on to Caesarea. See you there!

There's a dark cloud rising from the desert floor

I packed my bags and I'm heading straight into the storm

Gonna be a twister to blow everything down

That ain't got the faith to stand its ground

Blow away the dreams that tear you apart

Blow away the dreams that break your heart

Blow away the lies that leave you nothing but lost and brokenhearted.

The West Bank (Arabic: الضفة الغربية, romanized: aḍ-Ḍiffah al-Ġarbiyyah; Hebrew: הַגָּדָה הַמַּעֲרָבִית, romanized: HaGadáh HaMaʽarávit), so called due to its location relative to the Jordan River, is the larger of the two Palestinian territories (the other being the Gaza Strip) that comprise the State of Palestine. A landlocked territory near the coast of the Mediterranean Sea in the Levant region of West Asia, it is bordered by Jordan and the Dead Sea to the east and by Israel (via the Green Line) to the south, west, and north. Since 1967, the territory has been under Israeli occupation, which has been regarded illegal under the law of the international community.

The territory first emerged in the wake of the 1948 Arab–Israeli War as a region occupied and subsequently annexed by Jordan. Jordan ruled the territory until the 1967 Six-Day War, when it was occupied by Israel. Since then, Israel has administered the West Bank as the Judea and Samaria Area, expanding its claim into East Jerusalem in 1980. Jordan continued to claim the territory as its own until 1988. The mid-1990s Oslo Accords split the West Bank into three regional levels of Palestinian sovereignty, via the Palestinian National Authority (PNA): Area A (PNA), Area B (PNA and Israel), and Area C (Israel, comprising 60% of the West Bank). The PNA exercises total or partial civil administration over 165 Palestinian enclaves across the three areas.

The West Bank remains central to the Israeli–Palestinian conflict. The Palestinians consider it the heart of their envisioned state, along with the Gaza Strip. Right-wing and religious Israelis see it as their ancestral homeland, with numerous biblical sites. There is a push among some Israelis for partial or complete annexation of this land. Additionally, it is home to a rising number of Israeli settlers. Area C contains 230 Israeli settlements into which Israeli law is applied and under the Oslo Accords was supposed to be mostly transferred to the PNA by 1997, but this did not occur. The international community considers Israeli settlements in the West Bank to be illegal under international law. Citing the 1980 law in which Israel claimed Jerusalem as its capital, the 1994 Israel–Jordan peace treaty, and the Oslo Accords, a 2004 advisory ruling by the International Court of Justice concluded that the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, remain Israeli-occupied territory.

The West Bank has a land area of about 5,640 square kilometres (2,180 square miles). It has an estimated population of 2,747,943 Palestinians, and over 670,000 Israeli settlers live in the West Bank, of which approximately 220,000 live in East Jerusalem.

The Mandala is the centre. It is the expression for all ways. It is the way to the middle, to the individuation.

View On Black

I'd climbed down the east bank of White Oak Bayou to get pictures of the old railroad bridge near Hogan and I-45. I took a different route up, a very overgrown route. The occasional trail (perhaps a figment of my imagination) passed debris, from the flooding and, perhaps, from those who had found some sort of shelter in the shade of this thicket. I'm not sure to which category this old Bible (not KJV), belongs, but it was stiffly open to Joshua 18. I left it in its place, untouched, took only this photograph.

(Not KJV):

8 So the men who were chosen went to look at the land and write down what they saw. Joshua told them, "Go all through the land and describe it in writing. Then come back to me at Shiloh. I will throw lots" and...

Promised land No.5

Toyosu was called by reclaimed land No.5 until being formally named on July 15, 1937.

Most is still a wasteland though a large-scale redevelopment is advanced.

The area has been expanded as the goldenrod fills the space of development.

Even if the land of promise for them changes into it for the human, The area extends in a new place

Serpentine Cross. The figure represents the bronze serpent taken up by Moses in the desert, and the cross upon which Jesus was crucified. Mount Nebo, Jordan

Mount Nebo, known as Pisgah in the Bible. It is where the Bible says Moses lived out his remaining days and viewed the Promised Land which he would never enter (Deuteronomy 34: 1-8). Mt. Nebo offers a fantastic view westward, with a vista that includes the Dead Sea, the West Bank, the Jordan River, and, on a clear day, Bethlehem and Jerusalem.

There are actually two peaks on Mt. Nebo, Siyagha and al-Mukhayyat. During the sixth century AD, a Byzantine monastery was constructed at Siyagha. It was built on the foundations of an even earlier chapel, which was erected by monks from Egypt during the third or fourth century AD. Although little remains of the buildings that housed them, the mosaics of this period can be seen today inside the modern-day shrine atop Siyagha. The main mosaic, which measures three by nine meters, depicts the monastic pastime of wine-making, as well as hunters and an assortment of animals.

Got some decent shots here…this is an experiment to hold me over until I upgrade my Photoshop skills. Satisfied for the moment, but I know it won't be for long.
