New laser star projector I got. Hard to get a good picture of it, and this really doesn't do it justice. The green dots are brilliant like thousands of individual LEDs on your ceiling. Also, the blue clouds are constantly swirling around.
The name, for anyone interested is actually Laser Stars Projector and it is Available from ThinkGeek or here in Toronto from Efston Science on Dufferin, or here:
Movie projector made by Victor Continsouza from around 1903. The projector was used in the ver first fixed bioscope in the Netherlands.

When I was a kid, I would go to the Buhl Planetarium several times a year and the Zeiss Projector was the centerpiece of my visit in the same way that it was the centerpiece of the planetarium. I am very please that it is no longer gathering dust in the old building now that operations have moved to the Carnegie Science Center.
Perhaps it's just the fog of distant youth but I think the sky projected on the planetarium dome by the Zeiss was better, crisper, more realistic than the digital projections of the new planetariums.
After getting to know a few new people at the 100th wskeo hosted by Mark Hopkins I took a photo stroll of the old King Edward school.

Dirty Projectors live at the Barbican, first half playing the Getty Address and the second playing songs from Bitte Orca! Really amazing show, grooving to Stillness is the Move and rocking out to Useful Chamber. Good times
“Overhead projectors were introduced into U.S. military training during World War II, and used at schools like the U.S. Military Academy after the war” (Overhead Projectors, 2012). Images where designed on transparent film so it could be projected on a pulled down white screen. Sometimes the teacher would write the notes on transparent film during the class. The makers that was used was a wet erase.
I chose Overhead Projectors because it was popular during my high school years. The teacher did not have to keep rewriting the information for each class. With the information already written down, all the teach had to do was place it on the overhead projector. This slowly replaced the chalkboard. The relevance of the Overhead Projector was to help the teacher to teach without having to repeat writing on the chalkboard and the use of less paper. I believe this tool is emerging because it is part of the SMART interactive boards.
