In "The Old Giant and the Shiny Hammer," preschool students wrote the play and built the props and the set. They also created signage for a full-service theater with a ticket booth, coat check, concession stand, and ushers. #thesayredifference #playbasedlearning #projectbasedlearning

Teachers never really have “summers off”! This week I’m training and coaching #WCPSS teachers on #ProjectBasedLearning at Vernon Malone College and Career Academy. Besides being a great school, VMCCA has amazing facilities that are shared with Wake Tech. This afternoon we have groups learning about welding, the internet of things, nursing, auto body/collision, and electrical work. The #WakeEdSummerSTEM program immerses teachers in these real-world experiences in addition to two full days at local businesses through the #WakeEdPartnership.
