An example of one of the butterflies we did for the annual Journey North Symbolic Monarch Migration to Mexico. Over 70,000 paper butterflies from 3,000 classrooms across Canada and the US made the journey this year. Students in Mexico "protect" the Monarchs over the winter, them send them home on the migration route back to the north. Kids all receive butterflies back in April or May - different ones than they sent in keeping with he natural process of the real Monarch migration.
