Closing The Execution Gap

Pressure is on to turn intentions into impact. For leaders, it’s imperative to find a way to integrate their organization’s mission, sustainability and social impact strategies in a unified way. By doing so, leaders responsible for what has traditionally been divided into “environmental,” “social” and “governance” (ESG) will be able to speak the same language and execute unified goals. Recent research on ESG from Project Management Institute reveals that two-thirds of surveyed executives worldwide believe that COVID-19 acted as a catalyst for increased action on ESG initiatives, but 70% don’t know where to get started. This discussion will focus on how to unify teams to identify the “how” and co-create an executable path forward, resetting expectations to identify gaps and opportunities to achieve strategic clarity, and defining collaborative frameworks and priorities with clear performance metrics.

In coordination with partner Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs), the CIF conducted in May 2016 a Monitoring & Reporting workshop in Accra, Ghana.
The objective of this training was to strengthen Ghana's capacities for FIP monitoring and reporting the results achieved through the implementation of the investment plan.
42 Participants attended the workshop, representing civil society/NGOs, project management units, the World Bank and key agencies, notably the Forestry Commission, Cocobod, and the Ministry of Land and Natural Resources.

Minor) participated and afforded our students experiential learning opportunities that related to web design, database development, social media communications, and video production.
